kimbles left foot
I'm guessing as far north as Leiston?
Jago
Here's a map projection from another site : https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1_JqEhxDhFeRtQSkiAIz1qpBX3aU&ll=51.62045221062679%2C-0.5388391812500686&z=9 And here's a spreadsheet : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1inu6blXlaCuykULnRxHPFLMcCnAPU1NtmlM27JJ9nFE/edit#gid=0 Could still change as it's all dependent how the FA split the three current Step 3 leagues into four leagues (with the new Midland one)
Wivenhoe Urchin
Potentially brightlingsea as a derby then! Could have been canvey.
Wivenhoe Urchin
I've just read that Corinthian casuals could get promoted, despite losing their play off final.
andydick
Expected that Norfolk / Suffolk will join the new Midland league so the most northerly team for us would be Bishop's Stortford. Re Corinthian Casuals it is expected they'll be promoted to the Prem. This is to replace Thurrock, the ruling being that the best play-off loser, calculated on a points per game basis from the 6 step 4 play-off matches will go up. CC went into the play-offs as the team with the 3rd highest PPG of the 12 play-off teams. Hartley Wintney were 1st so they would have been promoted anyway irrespective of their result - if they won they'd be promoted; if they lost they'd be promoted as the best losing finalist. As Hartley Wintney won, Haringey would have been next had they lost. But Haringey also won hence why CC will be promoted. It's still all awaiting confirmation - the league met yesterday to discuss the league structure. Draft proposal is due out today with confirmation by Friday. Wivenhoe Urchin
Wow. As much as I am pleased Corinthian casuals got promoted, it does all seem bizarre and a bit of a mess when you have a play off final for promotion. No doubt canvey going up this way would be even more controversial.
cup of tea
Canvey have done nothing wrong (technically) but it was obvious that they dual registered Sam Higgins (and the other guy) in March without any intention of playing them until the playoffs. Wondered how much money changed hands over that.
PONY TAILED URCHIN
this was the official boundary released before the season started http://www.evostikleaguesouthern.co.uk/step-3-and-4-league-boundaries-for-the-201819-seas-47185 and this is a projected league for next season https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1inu6blXlaCuykULnRxHPFLMcCnAPU1NtmlM27JJ9nFE/edit#gid=0 not convinced it will fall this way but will see

Personally I'd swap Stortford for Bognor but suspect it's unlikely. Bostik have tweeted the allocations will be out Friday.

Dagger03
There are quite a few 'new' senior clubs in the Essex area - Benfleet - they have their own ground but this season they were ground-sharing at Canvey Island - were in the Olympian League Coggeshall Utd - no connection to Coggeshall Town, they have their own ground Fire United Christian - not in Essex, they play at the leisure centre about a hundred yards past Haringey Borough's ground Frenford - they play at The Drive in Ilford, having moved from their old ground at Fairlop - were also in the Olympian League Hackney Wick - they have moved from Clapton to a ground just behind the Olympic Stadium in Stratford - relegated from the Essex Senior League Harwich & Parkeston - it's 'welcome back' as they dropped out of senior football a few seasons ago Holland - ground sharing at FC Clacton Laindon Orient - they play at a 3G pitch in a local school in Basildon Little Oakley - they have their own ground but have always been in one of the intermediate leagues May & Baker - they have their own ground but first team plays at Barking Rugby club - were in Olympian League Newbury Forest - ground share at Redbridge - were in Olympian League and Haringey Borough - elected to new league but have folded as they lost their ground share at Haringey Borough I have to wonder why some of these teams want to join the pyramid, when their average gate is just a handful of people at best. PONY TAILED URCHIN
id be happier to swap Stortford for Bognor get an extra seaside trip, but would miss a new ground. not sure why that spreadsheet has Kingstonian and leatherhead in different leagues as they ground share and would hope they go central or south. will see what comes out and if any clubs drop out

For the coming season Kingstonian are sharing with Corinthian Casuals who were promoted to the Bostik Prem as the play-offs lucky loser !
Wivenhoe Urchin
Just looked on the bostik website, does look a good league for us with nice trips. 22 in the prem league, but only 20 in leagues below. Would this affect revenue for clubs as less fixtures are being played?
Old Codger
Metropolitan Police are not exactly enamoured at being placed in the Southern League next season. There still seem to be some long trips for Step 4 in the North Division next season.I thought the idea was that the Suffolk/Norfolk clubs would be moved to provide less travel for them in particular. It also seems strange that 'fringe' clubs such as Cheshunt,Hertford,Ware and,in particular,Waltham Abbey have been moved away into the Southern League. Burdy
Due to reorganisation Met police manager who resides in Essex has resigned as he states he cannot make the longer journeys required in the new league.
kimbles left foot
Yep, he lives in upminster so I'm guessing the travelling in that league now would be far too much.
