An excellent decision now on the main site to keep charges for this semi as per normal league charges The club did have the right to increase the admission price and to impose separate stand prices but I'm sure our increasing support will appreciate this decision

The prices had to stay the same as any increase would have affected the attendance. I presume as it’s not mentioned no segregation will be in place which is a good thing. I guess more stewards and maybe some police will be in attendance. Hard to predict the crowd but I’d hope for around 1,000 Slough and upto 300 Kettering. It’s going to be a tense game for sure just hope the home advantage works in our favour and we can shut our their attacking force and find a way to get to Monday’s final.

I had a look back at the last play-off match against Kettering in May 2014, and four of that squad are still with us...... Sean Fraser, Guy Hollis, Warren Harris & James Dobson.

Does anyone know if Kettering still have any of their squad from that match?

So 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go and Jack has to go off. We know Kettering would absolutely bombard our goal knowing we had an outfield player in goal, they would surely score and win. Would an actual experienced sub goalkeeper not give us a much higher chance of getting through at the expense of 1 outfield sub? We can still pick 4 very good options from the 8 players available?

I've seen Ben Harris do some pretty good saves in the warm up.

At this level most if not all teams don't put a keeper on the bench and I'm sure both us and Kettering will take the risk not to have one.

It just restricts options from the bench and besides there is normally an outfield player who can do a shift in goal. Not ideal if the worst happens but a risk most teams at this level take.

Sure in a normal league game take the risk but this is the biggest game of the season and 46 games worth of effort! Kings Lynn forum has asked the same question and ok there’s only a couple of replies so far but both say a sub goalie is important. Be interested to see if Kettering and the other 2 PO contenders include a sub goalie.

Just looked at the Kettering side for that game and it seems they have no players left from that squad.

Glen,

So are you suggesting you would put Mark Scott on the subs bench?

I know he is still listed as a squad player, and although earlier in the season I recall seeing him out on the pitch pre-match, and against Rochdale he was on the bench, I don't think I have seen him recently. Was he there for the presentation Saturday?

Just to answer this so you dont spend ages talking about it, we will NOT be naming a keeper on the bench.

Jack Turner has played every minute of this season, and has touch wood has NEVER come off in a game in his career before.

It is hard enough telling a few they won’t make the squad, without making it harder, and in Scottie’s case he is still not mentally right to play in a game, and will be getting counselling for this from the PFA in the not too distant future.

As Reading Rebel has said, Ben Harris would be the option in goal if it did come to it, and he is very capable in that position.
