manurgrate
Despite rumours to the contrary, the set- up at Moneyfields in Portsmouth is good, their people were friendly, the ground is well presented and the pitch was OK for the time of the year. The match was hard fought with goalmouth action at both ends, they had the better of the first half, taking the lead through a well struck shot and also hit the post before the break. We had the better of the first 20 minutes of the second half but couldn't score, hitting the woodwork twice and having one off the line. They then scored their second, an excellent header from a fine cross. We still created chances after that but are lacking a cutting edge in the final third at the moment. Be warned if we ever go there again, the parking is a nightmare, their ground is situated amongst densely populated residential streets. I parked a good ten-minute walk away but couldn't find my car in the maze of streets. Thanks to a Moneyfield steward who came to my rescue!
