Fantastic win last night. Never expected that scoreline. Well done all involved.

Can't imagine what the motivational talk for Saturday will be from Royston's manager and coach after the slagging they gave their players last night. Given that they were being massively outplayed they would have been very disappointed, but it wasn't the kind of constructive encouragement I'd expect to hear to improve matters. I've never heard our managers resort to that irrespective of performance. That sort of thing stays in the dressing room.

I think we'll see a few changes to the Royston starting 11 on Saturday as it appeared the subs that came on were a lot more physical and competitive.

At that stage though we had the game under control and the ref was being lenient regarding some of their challenges.

Was the Sam Corcoran that came on the same one that has played a higher level for St Albans, Hemel & Chelmsford?

But let’s keep one foot on the ground as I feel Saturday will be a lot tougher than tonight for a few reasons mainly Royston will be out for revenge as no team wants to be embarrassed twice in quick succession plus the pressure is on us to win which could make it a tense game. Really would hope we could get near 1,000 on Saturday but expecting more nearer to 700 unfortunately.

I have a prior arrangement for Dulwich Hamlet v Margate on Saturday. But I made it to Royston last evening and have both play-off dates on my diary.

They've got a very good home record but not as good as any of the top five Slough however are the only team in the league who have won as many away games as they have home games so I believe things start about even and performance on the night will swing it.

After last evening's result, both Royston Town and Slough Town have dropped 19 points at home this season. Let's hope that it stays that way until the end of the season!!!

Real shame for Royston have had a very good season but before I got on the coach I went into the clubhouse and it was full of people watching the Champions League instead.

Wish people would get there priorities right and it was not because Royston were losing.

What hope do these type of clubs have to get real support.

I think the club has missed a trick and revenue earner by not putting on an end of season evening as the vast majority do. Obviously there may well be valid reasons for not doing so but having not done it last season or this one it appears it’s off the menu.

I think you've just got to ask yourself why do clubs have end of season presentation evenings?

I think Royston are another club with big ideas and are splashing the money but do they have the support to back it up?

I think their average attendance of 261 after a 6th/7th finish tells you all you need to know. They’ve got a few high profile experienced players and Adam Marriott will be on a pretty penny after dropping a few leagues from Lincoln City last season.
