Royston have an excellent home record..... it would be great if we could pick up another win and keep the pressure on Kings Lynn & Kettering, but I think we would not only need to field our strongest 11, but also perform very near our best to do so.

They've got a very good home record but not as good as any of the top five Slough however are the only team in the league who have won as many away games as they have home games so I believe things start about even and performance on the night will swing it.

Yes indeed cheers big time Tivvy, although they tried to mess it up! Massive congratulations to our players to not only thrash 6th places Royston away midweek but also to be on this incredible run of form. It is now in hands knowing a win this Saturday and we’ll finish at least 3rd possibly 2nd if Kings Lynn don’t win. What an end to the season let’s hope the boys are rewarded with a decent crowd and a home semi final next Wednesday (meaning I can go too!).

Fantastic result! Makes things much simpler. Win Saturday and we're home in the semi-final. Win and King's Lynn lose or draw and we take 2nd place!

Quite interesting that the four play off teams have now all won 29 matches and are separated by the games they drew rather than lost.

But let’s keep one foot on the ground as I feel Saturday will be a lot tougher than tonight for a few reasons mainly Royston will be out for revenge as no team wants to be embarrassed twice in quick succession plus the pressure is on us to win which could make it a tense game. Really would hope we could get near 1,000 on Saturday but expecting more nearer to 700 unfortunately.

double edged sword really,great to get a home tie in the playoffs but with our present away form, hmm one to ponderme thinks.

Certainly wishful thinking but I'm sure Royston are made of sterner stuff than that.

 

Also got to be careful as I'm sure the Royston manager will be looking for any extra motivation to give to his players.

The team came out of the blocks with intensity and determination to stamp there authority on the game and to score the goals so early was superb.

The squad deserve so much credit.
