How poor were

Reading Rebel

Man City did the same against Mourinho RR, which does prompt the question are Man U that poor? Lucky maybe, resolute yes, but have quality - same as Juventus.

Still haven't got over it, but the Rebels won..............so COYR!

The 'Choking Cockrels' - always crack under pressure!!

How many continuous FA Cup semi finals have they now lost, not to mention blowing their big chance to win the league when they only had Leicester to challenge for the title?

8 lost and I've been to all 8. Thoroughly deflating. A 2nd half Mourinho master class in spoiling tactics that we were not good enough to do anything about. Hey ho.

As for the Leicester comment, no one ever mentions Arsenal who were up there throughout and finished second. We didn't really blow it at all. We were never top at any point and it still worked out as our best ever PL finish and total at the time. Leicester were relentless and deserved winners.

On the other hand you could say Spurs are still doing well ,given the money they've spent compared to City, United and Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino may not have won anything yet but he has built a young, capable side and has steadily improved Spurs, to keep getting them in the Champions League, which is pretty good going.

With a new stadium on it's way and some new additions to the squad, Spurs will keep getting to semi finals and at some point, they will win something.

Agree whole heartedly with this. However...

With the astronomical season ticket pricing at the new stadium, which puts Spurs as the most expensive team in the world to watch, a line has to be drawn in the sand this summer. No more Walker/Alderwiereld/Rose type contract situations, there will be no sympathy from fans paying that amount. I'm not expecting, and nor would I wish, for us to spend 80-100 million on a player but no more inferiority complex or excuses. Expectations change this summer, I think.

I look out for results from the Premiership but to me the amounts of money splashed about by these clubs is obscene and just stinks of being a racket.

I would rather watch Slough Town FC than Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Grew up in Edmonton and been a Spurs ST holder for 25 years. Moved to Slough a few years back and love going to watch the Rebels too as it's affordable, the home games rarely clash and it's such a different experience. Happy and lucky to be able to do both regularly.

I couldn't agree more 3spirit.

I moved to Slough when I was 4 and started watching the Rebels and Spurs in the mid 60's.

Unfortunately greed has taken over the premiership and the costs to watch a game are now astronomical.

Given the choice I'd watch Slough any day of the week over watching Spurs.

RR, I've been to watch Spurs 10 times so far this season, without impacting on any Slough games. Most I've paid... £20 for Real Madrid game., cheapest £5. OK, senior Citizen rates!

What's the cost of a pint and a pie at Wembley?

Also the queuing to get something to eat and drink and then getting away from the ground to get home must be a bit of a mare.

Pint is best part of a fiver and a pie about £4.

The queuing not that bad though, no worse than anywhere else, and have found getting back to Slough a doddle. Not much of a queue to get the train from Wembley Stadium station to Denham. Have been home within 35 mins.

All my family are Spurs followers and most cheer on the Rebels, too.

My brother is a season ticket holder/diehard regular watcher of Spurs. In fact, I've turned down several offers from him to watch Spurs because it's clashed with Slough.

If the Rebels ever play Tottenham, there will be rifts in the family !  ha ha !

Back in 1892/93 Spurs and ourselves were in the same league and came off better in the two meetings Slough 5 Spurs 2. Spurs 3 Slough 3 We also had a training match in 1981 waste of time really 3 sessions of 30 mins each and a total of about 50 players on the pitch. Anyone remember this?(1981 not 1893)
