Windsor Rebel
Our old friends from down the road drop down another level (unless they get a reprieve that is)
RebelVilla
No disrespect meant, but I did not think that they could fall any further. Around 5 years ago they were at the same level as us and regularly beating us as well. Good luck to them for the future.
GlenSTFC
It is amazing how far apart the two sides are now. I think we all remember well the tough games against them when we struggled to beat them. Must admit I thought their new manager would turn it around especially after a great start. It’s fair to say we are now worlds apart in league, support and ground. Matt
They could be in the same league as Chalvey Sports next season.
GlenSTFC
Well some consolation they get to play a decent stadium (albeit with no crowd!).
3spirit
They may as well have gone down last season and re-built and saved funds, than wasting this entire season under 3 different umproven managers and numerous player changes to progress absolutely nowhere ! Burnham's board of directors seem absoultely clueless to appointing the right man in the dugout, sticking to a budget or no budget and building a platform to keep the club viable. They were a laughing stock last season for their ineptitude, what does it make them this season?
REBEL MATTERS
Yes, they were like a bogey side for us. I remember vividly, the day they got promotion to the Southern Premier League, one of their fans came on gloating, having a few digs at STFC. Nothing personal against Burnham, but just remember that fan comment giving it the large....
GlenSTFC
They’ve tried but they just can’t compete at a high level because the fan base just isn’t there. If they get relegated it’s probably their natural level. Unfortunately for them they are sandwiched between two decent sized non league clubs plus there’s Wyscum and the plethora of league and other non league clubs within a short distance. Same applies to Beaconsfield although they’ve obviously got the team right but still have the same crowd/potential issues.

Same applies to Beaconsfield although they’ve obviously got the team right but still have the same crowd/potential issues. If Burnham go down they will be playing teams like Holyport and Penn and Tylers Green,no disrespect to them but that is awful for a club like Burnham. If Uxbridge, Beaconsfield and Chalfont St Peter can survive season after season in the Evo Stik South East division, then surely Burnham should. Their facilities are good and should be able to offer a good youth team set up. The difference between the 3 clubs I mention and Burnham is that the other clubs live within their means and have made very good appointments when it comes to their managers. Beaconsfield haven't always got it right but they have 'cut their cloth accordingly', whereas Burnham always seem to be over ambitious for a club of their size. Burnham have made a series of blunders in who they've appointed as their managers this season and last season. They've also been useless at keeping to a budget and paying players properly, which is a sure fire way of disrupting and bringing discord to any team. If I was running Burnham FC, I would be on lookout for a 'steady eddie' manager who knows the teams/players in the division they will be playing in, has a reasonable track record in managerment at that level and is realistic and not promising the earth. Burnham's directors need to go back to basics. Build a team over a few seasons and not keep looking for quick fixes. They need to stady the ship, not keep rocking it !
