Lee protheroe

Was any one aware that Lee has signed for another month on loan? I spoke to Lee on Saturday and asked him if there was any chance of him staying with us, he replied that all he wants to do is play football and would'nt mind, but it all depends on fordy and king who dont see eye to eye. Fingers crossed.......

The current position is that Lee has two matches left under the current loan agreement.

 

We are hopeful that there will be a further month after that, but this is dependent upon Canvey not having any injuries.

I sincerely hope we can bag Protheroe for ourselves, he seems to have a great awareness of those around him and his quality is undoubted. But if not, he'll merely be another in a long line of quality loan signings:
Walshe, Oli, Lovett, Sturgess, Nutter, Cole, Giles...
It's clear to me that Fordy obviously knows and recognises good players, but the only problem is money.
Sure, we can lay out a few extra quid on loan wages a month at a time when we're short of players, but if only we had the financial clout to attract and keep such players on full-time contracts....

Well if Andy and mr king get on so well, lets hope they can sort something out,and after reading the local paper Andy has several irons in the fire at the moment, or is that total bo**ocks too?
