I.m going to be different and pick Wazza he never gets a match day award so he is getting my player of the season pick.

Always gives 100% a real team player never drops his head always looking to get forward makes and scores goals always relied on to do the job he is asked to do.

No wonder he like Guy and Sean are the longest serving players for Bakes@Unders.

When do you ever see him argue with the ref about a decision or bad tackle he just gets up and carries on.

After that bad injury he had he has come back to be top class.

Got to say its Wazza for me also, his workrate and tracking back seems to go unoticed and he gets really crucial goals unsung hero to me,but plentyof contenders this season.

Play offs are now guarenteed as Tiverton lost to Royston so neither can now catch us.

All about where we finish now, 2nd place probably out of reach but 3rd still possible.

Where ever we finish we have something the others don’t which is experience. None of the others were in the play offs last year whilst we were.

Fair play To King Lynn .

To come here after a game against a top side on Thursday and put in the effort they did was remarkable. They pressed us all game and made it really tough. Did well to come back and get a point after it felt like it was not our day when we should have been 2 up early doors .

Think KL look well equipped physically to cope with Conferance South , along with Weymouth best sides I have seen this year.

Results make it interesting now , Kettering have a tough run in but it's in their hands to sneak 2nd .

Think we are probably staying in 5th and I don't mind that at all !

If you mean experience as far as play-offs go then quite possibly but both Kettering and Kings Lynn all have experienced players.

If we can get the points against Hitchin then the result of the  Kettering v Weymouth game could make it very interesting for the 3rd/4th spot.

Thoroughly deserved point in the end.

Started like a house on fire and probably should have taken a 2-0 lead.

At 1-0 I thought we dropped a little deep conceding a lot of possession to KL.

Second half we really took it to KL and I think we created a lot more chances.

Possibly a point was a fair result but on chances I think we had the majority even though it took an absolutely tremendous goal saving tackle from Togs to give us a share of the spoils.

Well earnt point and either side had the chances to win it, fair result in the end. Shame but expected that Kettering won, but bonus that Weymouth didn’t. Our next 2 are winnable and if Kettering and Weymouth draw on Thursday (guessing that’s the best result for us) then it’s game on for 3rd place.

I was very impressed by Kings Lynn. They looked a solid unit and had a number of impressive players and yet we could have beaten them today.

Think we just wasn't clinical enough in front of goal, which is strange and contradictory, as I thought Perry Coles and Chris Flood were by far our best players today.

Wazza also had a great game, surprised he was substituted first. I also thought Matt Day looked quality and showed he's not just an ordinary centre half.

The hot conditions certainly tested both sides  It just didn't seem that we were at our fluent best today, despite some excellent chances.

Thought we particularly struggled in centre midfield, and gave Kings Lynn too much time and space. For me Scott Davies struggled to keep up with play. He plays some excellent passes but on 3g and with it being such a hot day, he was always going to have his work cut out.

I actually thought we missed a Nathan Webb type ie someone industrious and willing to do the donkey work/running.

Matt Lench worked better with Togs, second half but unfortunately because of the stop/start nature of the game towards the end of the game, our substitutes didn't quite have the impact/creativity we needed to grab the 3 points.

As good as Kings Lynn are, at the final whistle I was disappointed that we could only manage a draw against them but all in all, a draw was probably the fair result.   Damn and blast !

'Someone industrious to do the donkey work/running'

Sounds more like a Simon Dunn type?

As Bakes has said, second place is unacheivable now unless you think Kings Lynn will drop points at home to St Neots or away to Chesham (be nice to Chesham fans they could yet do us a favour!).

We are lagging a short distance behind Kettering & Weymouth now, but if we can win at Hitchin on Monday, it will put a lot of pressure on both of them in their match against each other Thursday.... and if they draw the gap will be closed.

So perfect results this week..... Hitchin 0 Slough 1 & Kettering 0 Weymouth 0!!

And the icing on the cake would be Hereford not winning at Biggleswade, and needing to secure the title at home to Kettering on Saturday.
