v Biggleswade

Recommended Posts

Personally I agree with Stan that we are not playing with pressure at the moment, only 3/4 weeks ago we were getting written off by some people saying we would struggle between now and the end of the season with all the away games etc, and best we could hope for was 5th, well the lads have proved that is not the case now, and are just enjoying their football.

We have had to date an unbelievable season, and if you had offered any of us this at the start of the season with the FA Cup run most would have ripped their hands off.

Obviously the icing on the cake would be promotion to make it a year to remember for years to come, however we are also well aware that there are 5 excellent teams in the league, and any would be justified playing at a higher level.

Obviously if we get the home play off game then great, however we are the chasing team under no pressure.

What we really need is to get as many people as possible to Arbour Park on Saturday and really get behind the lads....

So I would encourage people to get there and try to encourage others to make it.

Not sure how many KL fans go by car but they seem to be having trouble getting enough interested to make a coach viable.

Perhaps that'll change after they play Kettering on Thursday.

Match photos

It was extremely dark at the ground, so had to eke out extra light that wasn't there to get these photos

Have to agree the Floodlighting is pretty poor at Biggleswade.

When play was on the other side of the pitch from where you were standing it was difficult to pick out who the players were.

Or is it just my specsavers glasses?

They bought 76 to Edgar Street. Think that included a coach full.

It does depend on their match tomorrow night. If they lose or draw it becomes a much bigger match for them so might encourage more to travel. If they win I feel less will bother. In any case I can’t see them bringing more than they took to Hereford, I just hope the Slough public turn out...

Attendance does not work like that . People respond to success not just the importance of the match. Crowds go up when you are winning, fall when you lose. Every club has its supporters who pick and choose their games . It's usually about 50%of their average crowd . Saturday is an important game for us and KL and if we are both on a winning run , expect them to bring about 100 .

Our average home support is around 550 so I expect most of our pool of fans to attend so that's another possible 250 + or so , plus a few neutrals , friends dragged along . I'd expect around 900

Get the beers in early!

Stan our average is around 650 so it’s not correct in our case that around 325 of those ‘pick and choose’. We’ve not had any stand out massive crowds so our average is about right. In any case I’d be surprised if there’s more than 800 on Saturday.

It is also the case after having so many away games recently those people who may come along to add to the regulars will have forgotten there's football on even with a very successful club in the town.

So hope there is plenty of publicity in the local papers and radio stations.

Well, my friend and I are season ticket holders and we've at least 2 "irregulars" joining us, so definitely need to get the beers in! Not sure how that affects the crowd predictions. COYR!!

Yes it is but that is the mean average and included the big crowd against Hereford and away fans .

I'm talking about what we get from Slough fans. So if you strip them out we can usually get 500- 550 on a cold night with no away fans , hence my comment .

We will see on Saturday ! Like Bernie I've already got 3 people coming who are ' irregulars ' with 2 more possibles !
