urchinman1961
Not over the finishing line yet this won't be easy either the visitors had prior engagements otherwise would have been automatic promotion prospects still in with a shout via the play offs though fancy this by an odd goal but Heybridge will prove difficult opponents crowd
Burdy
They are playing tonight then us two days later this could cause them probs with the ten matches they have left to play
cup of tea
Take a draw from this game all day long. Obviously a win would be preferable and we shouldn't fear anyone but this is another of those tricky fixtures and Heybridge have to go for the win. 1-1 att
cup of tea
Having said that, once we get past this game and a tricky looking fixture against Cheshunt who also have something to play for and have Ming at the helm, the remaining games are all against mid-table teams. Wivenhoe Urchin
Well heybridge didn't look like a side that couldn't cope with fitness, intense pressure at times from them but as we know we can keep good teams out, especially at home, which bodes well for next season. Wivenhoe Urchin
Fantastic support again, we get loud when we need to. Heybridge fans contributed to a good atmosphere.
cup of tea
Another massive win - tactics from Heybridge did seem to focus with high balls into the box both from corners and long throws. Defence stood firm and we got a good goal at the other end. All the Hornchurch players should be proud of that performance. Come on guys, keep it going and get over the finishing line. bridgefan
Shame that they had to dive and moan - if they had put that effort into their football they would have been better
Wivenhoe Urchin
Yeah heybridge are in a tricky position, more games than most to play and potentially away in play offs, as we know from experience it's only an outside chance of promotion.
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
If anyone is on twitter, there is an unbelievable amount of sour grapes from a handful of swift supporters. Who believe it or not were no where to be seen last season!!
Wivenhoe Urchin
It seems they have had fans "jump on the bandwagon" this season with their cup runs and some of those fans are a bit like a certain person at billericay!
cup of tea
Was disappointed with some of the tactics from heybridge- don’t get me wrong they are a very good team, one of the best in this league and I think will be a handful for anyone in the playoffs but some of the antics were over the top. Every club will try it on a little bit but they took it to another level. Constant verbals to the ref throughout the game , even saw one of their players who knew damn well the ball had come off him last for a throw in to us complain to the ref for ages , another player cynically stopping a breakout with a foul then roll about in agony in an attempt not to get booked (ref was having none of it). Their players did seem to spend a disproportionate amount of time on the floor. Our defenders were clever, making sure there was no contact with their players inside the box when the ball was to feet as any touch would have resulted in their player going down. Maybe the goal was a bit fortunate but no less then the Bowers goal against us recently that cost us a point. Rant over !!!
Burdy
Big well done to the lads did not let them intimidate us and really all the moaning to officials did them no good. They even started to complain about the ball boys in the second half. Come on urchins nearly over the finish line. Great goal by the urchins. Wivenhoe Urchin
Moaning about ball boys shows a lack of respect.
