V Chesham H 2nd April

It was on April 1st 2000 that we last won a home league game against Chesham and No sadly that's not an April Fool jest .

I don't believe the myth of the " bogey team" just a team who played better or had more luck on the day.

This season we've done better than they have pointwise on fewer games. Scored more Conceded less and they couldn't beat us at theirs earlier in the season Playing on Friday means we will be rested another 24 hrs than them

With home advantage we should be favourites but its a funny old game so we can but hope

I think the team who wants it most really wants it most will prevail and IMO that should be us.

Was going to say with only 3 homes games left we need to win them but looking at the opposition that’s going to be tough. But with Chesham’s slim PO chance over (ok not mathematically) it shouldn’t be as high a tempo game as it could have been. As long as we’re professional and take more of the chances we create we should win. Be nice if there’s 700+ for a change.

Local derby with bragging rights at stake and Chesham still with an outside chance of the play-offs, don't worry it'll be a feisty high tempo game alright.

9 points behind, played 2 more and just 7 games left, you’d have the be the most optimistic Chesham fan to think you have a chance of making the PO’s! That’s not to say they won’t still come looking for a win but we’ve got to be mentally strong and ready too. I do worry the amount of chances we create produce so few on target attempts in some games. But I’m confident we can get the win tomorrow although fully expect it to be a tight contest.

However I still think we are something like the 8th highest scoring team in the country from step 1-4 of non league....

We do miss chances, clearly, but I am sure plenty of other teams do, the fact that we create them should give us confidence.

The one huge benefit of our squad is how many goals have been shared about...

Pessimism reigns supreme for RR.

It will be a win double after Spurs first win at Chelsea since 1990.

SD, I'm not really sure you've grasped the true meaning of the word pessimism.

Is it pessimistic to say that tomorrow's game against Chesham will be tough local derby? if so I'm guilty along with I'm sure a lot of other supporters including our managers.

Different Manager and team and not the same battles the reverse game was not feisty so why should this game be.

We’ve had spells this season when we have had an excellent run of results, and looking at our final nine league matches I think there is a possibility we could finish the season with a good run of results...... hopefully it will start with a win against Chesham today.

Well done Slough Town. Congratulations on your first win over Chesham in 18 years. Always love a visit to your council house stadium. Can't wait till next seasons derby games. Always good games. Good luck in the playoffs, however there are 4 much better sides (despite your budget) x

Finally the curse is broken. A poor first half followed up by an excellent 2nd and a well deserved victory in the end. Good performances again from most of the boys as well stands us in very good stead now moving towards the end of the season.

Listening to Neil's interview I also hope common sense will prevail and the Frome and MK games get changed. Then we can move onto another big game next weekend and hopefully another 3 points.

Oh and before I forget, Chesfan, What's the Score?????????

Generals United, thanks for those kind words and the assessment of our potential. Ramshackle or "Council House" stadium, which one's a description of yours?

See you in the B&B Final?
