V Dunstable Town A 30th March

What can be said about Dunstable Town? Position 23/24 Home Points 7/57 Goals scored all season (39games) 24 Goals conceded all season 125. GD -101 I think that says it all!

Just to add a little parity to your reasoning Ade.

Yes, the table doesn't lie and they are 23rd for a reason and at times have received some hammerings but also at times they have shown that they are capable of springing a surprise.

Notably they have beaten Weymouth and Farnborough at home and Banbury away and have drawn against Royston, St Neots, Redditch and Dorchester twice.

Agree it's a game we should win but not to be taken lightly.

RR Some of their "surprise" results have come when opponents have not played their best teams against a perceived weak team We must play our optimum team available as GD may decide PO positions and we now have the worst GD of the top5

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a win against a club that have lost 16 of their 19 home matches...... but if we play a 4-5-1 and get forced on to the back foot I might get concerned.

TBH I never 'expect' to win any game.

I might be alone in my thinking but IMO it shows a lack of respect to the opposition and if nothing else will spur the opposition on.

I am so pleased to be an optimist and always positive.

Being negative would drive me mad.

RD, if everyone had the same views and saw everything with the old rose tinted specs on there would be very few debates to be had on this forum and TBH it would drive me mad if people avoided the facts just to be seen as being 'positive'.

Actually its well worth downloading Dunstable's program Lots of content and pics Good history of the Rebels and an excellent article about the longest ever official football match Played 72 years ago tomorrow between Stockport and Doncaster I thought the Golden Goal was a relatively new thing but this was a cup game drawn at full time and drawn after extra time The rules then said the game started again and continued until one team scored Match lasted 203 mins still a record!
