So far this year we have got the better of Hereford over 2 games, Kettering have got the better of us, Weymouth we are even stevens and Kings Lynn we have to play at home so have the chance to finish all square with them too. Not such a bad set of results against the other challengers.

Congratulations to togs on his century of appearances last night. Just looking through his games record on the website and noticed an interesting fact about the 9 goals he has scored for us during that time. Hereford earlier this season is the exception if anyone can work it out?

Why would he want to come back! We brought in two strikers and bombed him straight away.

I know I wouldn't!!

Just so you know we didn't "bomb" Gav, we still like Gav however he was getting frustrated at his lack of game time, and if honest we needed him to get minutes as he has had injuries etc this season, and was down the pecking order... that is football, we had an honest chat which was instigated by Gav and us, and felt it would be best to go and get games, and with the Vase option at Thatcham felt that would be the best option.... he did leave it open that he would come and play if needed, however that is before he scored 2 goals in a vase semi final, and at which point as much as he likes the club and the lads, he is not going to risk that place he has just got to come and play for us, and I 100% agree with that for him.

Well done to Jack as well on his 50th appearance and making a Cracking double save.

Not sure if you have been before RR but you are not only playing a very good side but being one of only a few old style grounds left in the country that generates a real atmosphere when the home side are playing well.

As soon as Weymouth scored you could see there players gain an extra 5 % in their play with the supporters behind them.

Always remember when we played Sutton in the 70@80s at Gander Green Lane the extra Buzz and support for the home side made by there support in the last twenty minutes of a game just rose.

Fair enough Neil, no one can blame Gav for wanting to keep his place for a massive cup final. So with that door closed, what game is targeted for Floody’s return? Also would any of the dual registered players be a striker that could fill in and do a job for us?

Losing 1-0 to Weymouth sn't the worst result in the world, as they are a very good footballing side but what I find strange is that on Neil's post match interview, he says that Perry Coles as the lone striker, was always going to have his work cut out against three big Weymouth central defenders.

I could have told him that before the game had started !

I understand that Dobbo and Wazza were asked to push forward second half but I find odd that we don't try to get  back in the game by putting someone with a physical stature up front alongside Perry ie Nathan Smart, Mark Nisbet, Josh Jackman etc.

It isn't rocket science to get among the defenders and make it hard for them. We also had the option of Matt Lench alongside Perry, or alongside Perry and one other. .

I just find it vexing that we lose 1-0 but untrouble Weymouth's goalie and defence,so they have an easy night.

Our squad is better than that and should be making it awkward for sides.

Been to one or two Saturday games but no midweek night games.

The Weymouth manager also praised Jack Turner in his post match interview. In my book he is one of if not the best keeper we've had since our Conference day's.

By 'fill in' you obviously mean become our 3rd choice option behind Perry Coles and Manny until Floody comes back?

What last night showed was not that we struggled with one lone striker but that we struggled when Simon Dunn went off and we lost our midfield forward drive. We started brightly and thought we would give them a game but once we lost Dunny it never really clicked for us.

Disappointed that again we conceded just after half time, really annoying when we work hard for 45 mins then can't hold the first 10 after HT .

Weymouth impressed me at our place even though we beat them, and again last night . Think that without their poor start to the season they would be challenging Hereford for the title.

I think if we hadn't gone through the bad last month we would be challenging Hereford to.
