Tomorrow and in a few weeks time we play two of the three teams we are likely to meet in the playoffs I'm sure the current top five will be the top five at seasons end its just a question of the order and it would be a great boost to have recently beaten them Weymouth are proud of their good home record but its exactly the same as Basingstoke's and we know what good that did Basingstoke! If we play anything like we have in the last two games we must have an excellent chance of the points I'm surprised we now have the worst GD in the top group and that may be crucial at the end It must be a long time since we went 7 games without a clean sheet! Let's get some more of those in the next few weeks I'm looking forward to the game as its a local game for me Only Tivvys ground is nearer (about 30 mins)I'm not expecting to go home disappointed

The leagues top scorer Brandon Goodship with 30 goals is the danger man for Weymouth.

Taken from their pre match write up, Brandon Goodship has scored 11 goals from his last 11 games and Weymouth have never lost when he's scored.

Keep him quiet and you never know.

Up until 22nd. November, Rebels were scoring goals from all over the park so after a spell of several months when scoring has not been easy despite excellent build up play, it was very encouraging to see goals from four different players in each of Rebels recent 1-4 aways.

The other side of the coin has been only three clean sheets for Rebels in their last twenty league matches compared to ten in their last eighteen for Hereford and nine in their last eighteen for Kings Lynn Town.

Bakes and Unders never promise the earth when Rebels have a good month. They are always wary that the next month might not be so easy and they have made two very prudent signings prior to the run in to rectify the above.

I can't go to Weymouth this evening but will I not be following the score!!!

I have Monday 7th. May in my diary and although Rebels have yet to reach that match, although there are one or two clubs which Rebels might prefer not to travel to, there are no clubs looking forward to a visit from Bakes and Unders' Rebels as they know what they will be in for.

Several times this season Matt Lench has given me a feeling of the good old days. Joining the fans on the south terrace during the second half on Boxing Day, having a chat through his car window whilst caught in a Stoke Road traffic jam and the friendly chat with fans outside Arbour Park when he arrives for a match. I hope that Matt also has Monday 7th. May in his diary as having been sent off at both Hereford and Kings Lynn Town, that's a big day to be at his best and redeem his and The Rebels season! No pressure!!!

We do seem to be plagued by niggly injuries this season particularly since Gainsborough. Flood, Ben Harris and now Dunn in the last few games. With Manny unavailable this was always going to be a tough one.

We’re into the most important part of the season with only 2 fit strikers and no way of bringing any other players in, so I don’t know why we wouldn’t be getting him back. Yes he could say no and prefer to stay at Thatcham but by doing that that could end his chances at Slough. He’d obviously be allowed to play at Wembley but he could be useful for the 2-3 games that Floody may still be out for.

Just a question Glen would you jeopardise a chance of playing at Wembley in a National Cup Final by not playing for the club for a few games and giving someone the opportunity to take the place that you have only just got?

I know I wouldn’t!!

Very frustrating for us in losing Ben, not having Manny tonight and Floody not quite there!!

However Saturday we had three fit strikers with one maybe a week away from fitness! You can’t foresee injuries and there is nothing we can do about it! Tonight was a real tough game against a very good side after a long journey, they deserved their win, but our lads put in a real shift!

Still in a great position and with royston still the closest challengers we will hope that we can get three points at Dunstable whilst royston travel to hereford on Saturday!

I was viewing more from a club/fans viewpoint in that an extra striker would be very useful. As I said Gav may well say no to that opportunity but as we’re short on strikers just thought it’ll be a logical step to take. I guess that won’t be the case then
