v Bishops Stortford

Actually a very entertaining game. Well done to the Bishop's for getting the game on blue lines and all! We played some really good stuff first half and they barely got in our half for the first 30 mins . They hit the post with a long range effort but very much against the run of play.

We seemed to like the snow ! Should have gone in ahead but 0-0 felt OK at HT .

Unfortunately we undid ourselves early after HT again. But we came back well. Draw a fair result? Well I'll take it but after all the chances 2 crossbars one post , 1 deffo penalty and one good shout , I think we should have taken all 3 . But it's one more on the long march to the play-offs.

Probably ties in with the fact that our managers were more concerned with us conceding than salvaging a draw.

Figures that re-confirm to me that our success in the cups combined with postponements due to the weather is why we are not challenging for the title this season.

Let’s face it whoever we get away in the PO IF we make it of course is going to be a long midweek journey on a pitch not as good as ours, in front of a large partisan crowd with maybe 100-150 away support. So the odds will be stacked against us but these games are like cup finals so you just never know.

If it was to be KL or Kettering then purely for the reason that Kettering is about an hour shorter travelling then Kettering would be the obvious choice.
