Reading Rebel
This will be a tough encounter against a young and enthusiastic Stoke side who's form indicates that on their day they can be a match for most teams in this division. It's one of our games in hand so 3 points is a must.
GlenSTFC
Haha expected nothing else RR! They have an excellent home record but one of the worse away so I expect us to win. Disclaimer: it will be a tough tight game we can’t take for granted.

Irishadrian
Yes Glen It was Neil who said recently that Basingstoke were only a mid table team because of their poor away record It certainly looks like that's an accurate assessment so I'll be disappointed not to get 3 pts
Gashimoto
Poor game, both sides cancelling each other out. Good point after going a goal behind. Don't understand by Dunn didn't start, sheer quality and made the goal and the difference as soon as he came on with Manny. Motm dunn

Motm dunn You can listen to interview, but Dunny and Smarty were both starting tonight, however got caught up in an accident on the M4 and did not get to the ground until gone 7, which forced us to change the team. Reading Rebel
We certainly looked rusty first half with passes going astray and quite a few players nowhere near the levels that we know they can play at. Much better second half and despite conceding first from a very good free kick we showed some real character and scored an excellent goal created by Dunny and finished superbly by Floody. Despite their poor away record I thought Basingstoke played some decent football and with a bit more experience in their squad would certainly be nearer to the play-offs. GlenSTFC
I’d still consider it 2 points dropped but to their credit Basingstoke certainly didn’t play like their away record suggested. They played some nice football and if they were able to add some experience they could have been challenging top 5. Obviously they have issues and it’s most likely the squad wlll be broken up and Terry Brown will be leaving. We had our chances and our goal was well worked I just felt we left it until we had scored to really get going and up the tempo.

On the night it just wasn't working playing with the two wingers.
Mark44
I must say I was quite impressed with Basingstoke as they tried to get the ball down and play football...... I wonder if their away form is due to pitch conditions and big physical defenders..... To pick out a couple of positives, I thought that both Guy & Nis had good games, Floody looked back to his best again, Togwell was his usual reliable self but how good is Simon Dunn.......that's two games for me now where he has come on and been the best player on the pitch (of course, its all about opinions but that's mine )
Reading Rebel
Not really surprised on how good Basingstoke were compared to their league position. Every time I've seen them they've played some very good football but are just inconsistent probably due to being such a young team.

Stan
Interesting that Dunn would have played from the start if M4 had not been blocked. Thought we were crying out for his forward movement as Basingstoke were very well organised and disciplined. We had no problems keeping the ball but it was all too easy for them to,see the pass. Dunn had a positivity that they could not cope with. Ah well what might have been . Still another point , back in the playoffs and plenty of games in hand. Think we now need to stop worrying about the games in hand concentrate on staying in that 5 th position for the rest of the season. If we move higher later that's a bonus. Play-offs are a lottery whether you finish 2nd or 5th . Better to be at home but rather we just made sure we get that spot .
