littlehampton
Good to read Ken Brazier's posting on the Town official website today, that our former striker Dernell Wynter has returned to the QEII Stadium, on a dual registration with St Albans City. Sure everyone will welcome Dernell back to our Club, as Andy Leese continues to strengthen our first team squad.
andyetfc
Sorry, but I don’t agree. Player follows a manager after the club supported him. He can’t get games so comes back to those supporters who never left.
53 seasons
Unfair comments andyetfc. If a very young and ambitious player is offered a chance to play at a higher level with a manager he knows, chances are he will go for it. However Dernell will need to show some improvement on last season to make a difference to what we already have at Town.
andyetfc
Don’t think so at all. There have been s number of players who have believed that the grass was greener on the other side only to find it wasn’t. They have then come back and not fitted in. If a player has to go some way to improve on his performance to make a difference to get into the team, then why don’t we go for players who will be good enough to walk straight into it? Raingod
Personally very pleased with the news - DW is still very young, and has lots of potential - tried a higher level with 2 clubs - perhaps too early in his career - and like Tyler, Samir he is happy to come back to OUR club. Assume he was signed too late for yesterday
vauxhallman
Its seems that he signed found out the wasn't in the 16 and stormed out. Great attitude.
4wembleyfinals
I wonder what he was told when he signed. If he was informed he was to be included I wonder what you would have done at 21. Best not be too swift to judge. Like many other things we will never know the truth as PR is not at a very high premium this year. At least BQ could never be criticised for for this. lovely stuff
Why would you sign a player on loan if they cannot make it into squad? Very strange
4wembleyfinals
Another unanswerable question LS. This year has been full of them.
CD Towner
4Wembley, whilst I don’t agree with the notion in any sense, it was something that BQ was known for as he often chose to go down the inflated squad route!
