Curtis
With Hereford & Kettering winning, and Royston & Tiverton losing there are now four clubs virtually guaranteed play-off spots. If we can convert games in hand in to points the other play-off spot should be ours.
GlenSTFC
It’s vital we beat St. Neots with away matches to follow at Royston and Weymouth which I’d be very happy with 7 points from those 3.
Reading Rebel
As you know Glennie, after pushing Hereford all the way tonight St Neots will be really tough, but 3 points will be vital to keep the pressure on. As to the Royston away game, I think the weather could well scupper it.
sittingbull
St Neots....what can I say...wasted time from kick off, they defended in numbers, we must of had 6+ goal line clearances where their defenders throw themselves at the ball, they play on the break...three very pacey forwards who bought out a save from "the horse" on two occasions, that was their threat.... they will come to yours to gain a point.....their number 9 will tripe over a blade of grass to gain a free kick... and their number 4 will moan at the ref at every decision that goes against them, their defence are not short of a blatant foul when you are on the break. We had a very poor ref, hope the one you get is better and reacts to the game and not their players winging and moaning.
Bernie Gogan
So, we can expect yet another backs to the wall timewasting spectacle at Arbour Park. We'll give them a goal, we usually do, and then it's a question of whether we can break them down.
Neil Baker
Just a quick one regarding our home stats this season, as for some reason people seem to forget we are still having a very good season and our home record on a whole is pretty good, however some people almost expect perfection, and I am not talking about these posts in this particular thread, but the things you hear at games. We have played 23 competitive games at home this season, conceding 25 goals (8 of which came in two games one after the other in Rochdale followed by Bishop Stortford). Just over a goal is a game is a pretty decent record when you factor in the above. We have scored 60 goals, an average of 2.6 goals a game. We have won 15 of these, 65 per cent, drawn 4 (17.5 per cent) and lost 4 (17.5 per cent). The games we lost are Kettering (where they were better than us on the day), Rochdale a league one team, Bishop Stortford (where if you even watch the highlights now we should have won) and Banbury where I felt they did really well (and their manager described it after as his most complete performance with him in charge over the last 3 years) yet we should have drawn the game. The drawn games, were Hendon in trophy which was probably a fair result, but we scored a late goal to equalise, Hereford where we clearly deserved to win (but we all know what happened) Stratford again another where we got a late equaliser (but should have been out of sight at half time) and Kings Langley where we did not play at a tempo and draw was probably a fair reflection. In all of those games we have only failed to score against Rochdale and Banbury (we probably created better chances against Rochdale than we did against Banbury). What I am probably trying to say, is we have a huge game at the weekend against a very dogged side who narrowly got beaten last night at Hereford after a long journey on a Tuesday night, and we need everyone to get right behind us, and not expect us just to blow them away. We need to try and generate a real atmosphere again at AP which we have 100 per cent had at times, and even more so when teams come to try and frustrate and waste time to get behind us even more, as these types of games can be really tough if you don’t get in front early. With Royston losing last night we are still in a fantastic position to claim a play off spot (where who knows what can happen) and with a monster FA Cup run which generated more than the club has ever earned in prize money in one year, and a chance of a Berks and Bucks final, there is still lots to be excited for this year. If we did manage a win on Saturday we will be 5 points better off than we were at the same stage after 29 league games last season. We have an incredibly tough end to the season that I think everyone now understands, and we need everyone behind the players. COYR
Irishadrian
Totally agree with your assessment of St Neots Until last night only Hereford and Slough had lost fewer away games They travel intending to get at least a point and with considerable success Let's hope their tough game at Hereford and the almost 300 mile round trip has drained them a bit If there are some people expecting perfection then that's totally unrealistic what has been disappointing as you correctly point out is the points lost to teams nowhere near as good as us on the day where we just didn't take chances
A Rebel and a Saint
Definitely agree some perspective is needed among some fans. Looks like it could get harder. The long range forecast for Royston looks like the temperatures aren't getting above freezing between Sunday and Tuesday (the 'feels like' temperature for Tuesday night is -8C on the Met Office app!) so frozen pitch is looking more likely. Hopefully that will change but if it gets postponed that will take the last available Tuesday.
bluerebel
A few of us were at Kings Langley last night. Royston looked an ordinary side, not particularly big, and KL were the better side in the first half but Royston pushed up more in the second half. Very windy straight down the pitch in KL's favour in the first half. Royston's two top scorers Marriott and Frendo did not play.
Curtis
Probably a very big ask, but it would be great to carry some advantage of those home match statistics in to the play-offs by finishing in the top three.

We have a tough run in but we've had a great season and with a consistent set of results could well get a home tie in the play offs. Certainly plenty to cheer on. PaxtonLee
It might be because of where I stand to watch games from but I honestly haven't heard that much in the way of genuine negativity towards the team from fans at Arbour Park.
