GlenSTFC
Did hear of rumours of Nathan going to Beaconsfield but I am surprised he’s gone out on loan at this time. With Dunn recovering from injury, Gilkes in need of match fitness and now Webb gone it only leaves us with Lench, Togwell, Dobson and W. Harris as midfielders? Unless we have ‘irons in the fire’? GlenSTFC
Sean can play in midfield but he’s predominantly played in defence for us which I think is his best position.
Guest route104
Strange move, think we need all experienced players like Webb on board, tough few months ahead.
Neil Baker
Just so you know Simon Dunn is fully fit now and comes back into contention.
3spirit
Body language tells me Nathan Webb hasn't had his heart in it for Slough for awhile. Probably fed up playing second fiddle to Dunn,Togs and Lench. I think another team will benefit greatly by his arrival and I'll be disappointed to see him go. He's a far better player, than many seem to think. Perhaps another central midfielder is on the cards........wait for it.....another 7 day approach ! ha ha ! Curtis
Tremendous signing for Beaconsfield. I didn’t realise they were currently second in their league..... and the signing of Nathan must give them a fantastic chance of securing automatic promotion. redwine rebel
Am I missing something, I thought he was just on loan, hence he can be called back after two weeks??

As Sue say's he's on loan for a month (minimum 14 day's). Not sure about his heart not being in it, for me it's a simple fact that Webby needs a continuous run of games to get himself match fit and up to speed in order for him to make any sort of meaningful challenge for a starting place. Curtis
Sue, He can be, but with all the talk of shaking things up and seven day approaches, do you really think he will be?

GlenSTFC
Thanks mate! Yes I’m probably more of a pessimist than an optimist generally but I do give praise/credit when it’s due.

Most people I speak to agree that Nathan Webb is a good player but so far hasn't done enough, when given a chance, to warrant a regular starting place. We have very good players in our midfield who are ahead of him in the pecking order who will take some shifting. I think we need to see his loan move to Beaconsfield as a positive move for him. This should give Webby plenty of game time to not only get his sharpness and match fitness up but also for him to re-discover the desire and hunger he is going to need to be pushing the likes of Togs, Lenchy and Dunny for a regular starting spot. I might be wrong [ it has been known ! ]...... but I can't see him staying with us. As you say he's down the pecking order, and so Beaconsfield seems a good temporary fit for him to go to, especially with his brother playing for them now, too. Wouldn't surprise me,though, to see him being tapped up by one of our local rivals in our division, as he has plenty of experience at this level and would certainly do a good job for someone.
