I have told you lot before we are a family club and that we must respect others who are less fortunate than us, no matter what their beliefs or thought process are, or how dumb witted, inbreed, or just plain thick.

Kirk is very proud of his job and it is the thing he holds onto to remain as positive as he does, so well done Kirk keep on going, and don’t forget you are the best this forum has – well done for being this forums number one online idiot. (Unfortunately he did not get the job as village idiot as his alter ego optimistic beat him to it).

The one thing I noticed from the first to second half, was that in the first half, both teams played at a speed you would expect on that kind of pitch, and Slough were the better side.

In the second half, slough continued to play at the same pace they had in the first half, but Tiverton came out and played at a much faster pace, running towards the half of the pitch that had been cut up the most. This caused our defence loads of issues, as it was impossible go from a standing/low speed start, against someone coming at you at near full speed (as allowed on the pitch).

Slough attacked the better half of the pitch in the second half, which allowed Tiverton to defend better, as Slough did up that end in the first half.

I agree with most of the views already stated, so not saying we didn't play to our capabilities, in the second half, because we didn't. I'm just giving a point of view not yet given

Insightful point you make, HR. Easier to take points off opponents, when you know how to play your pitch.

Reminds me of one of our Conference games years ago, away at Yeovil, where we lost 7-2.

There was a monsoon and it bucketed down thus leaving a large pool of water in the middle part of the pitch.

What did Slough do?  They tried to carry on with their usual game, which often involved dribbling the ball from midfield !  Also having no covered ends on the terraces, the wind howled through the middle of the pitch.

So what happened any time we got the ball? The ball held up in the water/mud/wind !

It was comical and pure farce.

To Yeovil's credit they used their loaf and knowledge of the pitch at Huish Park, and kicked the ball to the flanks either side, where it was dry and easier to run on and in wind cover.

The scoreline tells you, how we got stuffed that day.
