Volunteering

A Rebel and a Saint

Recommended Posts

With the official announcement of the Club taking over all the catering at Arbour Park, more volunteers are needed on matchdays in order to make this work.  The Club, according to the documents from the original council meeting, is getting 50% of the profits from running all the catering, but has to rely on volunteers to run the kitchen, tea bar and bar.  For all the complaints I heard about the previous people who ran it, now we have the chance to make it work for our supporters.

When we moved to Arbour Park I created a page on the Trust website for volunteering at Arbour Park which I have periodically updated as the matchday experience has evolved through phase 1 and the completed ground.  This isn't just about catering jobs but all of the things that go into the Arbour Park matchday.

You can find it here: www.sloughtownsupporterstrust.co.uk/arbour-park

So don't expect the same people to keep picking up the jobs, speak to Adrian, John or Steve to see if you can help - they do their best to make sure that jobs are assigned appropriately and that volunteers see the match.

Gutted I don't live closer, would've helped run that bar happily.

Unfortunately I'm moving up north in summer so can't afford to get to matches now.

Good news that the catering is ours now
