I can't believe that game was called off I can get more water in my sink than what was on the pitch JOKE

The driveway up to the ground and car park had dreadful pot holes and very large puddles..... made me think the pitch might be unplayable and check on my phone before getting out of the car, shouldn’t have influenced the referees decision on whether the pitch was fit to play on, but was there any standing water on the pitch or inside the ground?

post-9191-0-26223500-1516469336_thumb.jpgIf the ref thought the pitch was unfit, he should consider what a real pitch should look like at the top level of English football

Click on photo and you will see even the delicate Jackie Charlton managed on this pitch.

Some refs want a perfect pitch at level 7 - they need to get real!

The driveway has been like that for many years.

As for the pitch, no standing water on top of any of it.

Ball bounced at least once and rolled ok as well - As it does on any general winter grass pitch

The pitch was in a better condition than when we played on it last season (as said by quite a few who saw it)

Take a look at Image14

I couldn't believe it had been called off. We played there last season on worse....much worse. If that was our home pitch I'd be very happy with how well it was standing up to the weather.

I blame Hereford, they must have had a word to make sure their game v Biggles is on for Tuesday!!

Perhaps the ref did not fancy getting wet, maybe he had a cold.At least the next two leauge games are at home and should be played unless he turns up.

We also went from half way to Biggleswade to Beaconsfield and gave up after that. Bigger joke than our game was when we got to Beaconsfield halve the lights were on so they must have known then that there was an issue. Had they have said we would have gone across to Windsor to see their game which ended 3-2 and had 2 missed pens in the game. Add to that my boys training being cancelled in the morning and it wasnt the best footballing day ever LOL!

Agree Bernie. The Dorking pitch looks muddy but perfectly playable and the highlights seem to justify why the game went ahead.

In the Non-League Paper, Lewis Putman was the star man for Dorking Wanderers and got himself on the score sheet.  Funny then that the pitch was so heavy, as you wouldn't naturally think that 'Puts' game would be best suited to those conditions.
