Dorchester Town

Looking forward to this one as it sees the return to Slough of arguably the best player to put on our amber and blue, their manager Steve Thompson.

The day we took apart Altrincham 7-3 on their own ground when Thommo ran the show will live long in my memory.

It was a shame for us that he went to Wycombe and had far more success there, but it was a measure of the esteem in which Slough fans held him that even though he defected to our greatest rivals he was still hero worshipped (by me at least!) .

Also looking forward to seeing Steve again after all these years. Also looking forward to the game Steve has improved their recent form but What do Gosport Dunstable and Dorchester have in common? All have played 14 away games All have won just 1 Jointly the worst away form in the league So I'm confident of the 3 points

We played well first half, 2-0 up and looked like we would go on to score 4 or 5..... we created a few chances early on in the second half which we failed to put away, and then we seemed to get nervy, dropped deeper and let them come on to us, and they had a few half chances to score.

In addition, we must have wasted about half a dozen good counter attacking opportunities, where I don’t recall us even forcing the keeper to make a good save.

Three points, but well below our best.

Agree mostly with Curtis's assessment. A stonewall penalty denied early in the 2nd half that might have seen a more comfortable 2nd half.

One point, I love Ben Harris's enthusiasm in closing down the opposition but I thought he was fortunate not receive a red card in the 1st half at 1-0. It was foot up studs showing. Over enthusiastic rather than malicious, to be fair to him, but another day and another ref he could have walked.

To be fair to Ben Harris, he was encouraged by Bakes and Unders to get involved in closing down and tackling and with that particular tackle, he showed the necessary commitment but totally mistimed it. A definite booking but harsh if he had received a red, although thought we were right to substitute him when we did, as he seemed to be getting close to another booking.

Nice to get back to winning ways and Slough throughly deserved to win but wasn't Dorchester crap on the

night ? !

Thought they would offer a lot more than they did. Can't see Thommo being happy with that.

No wonder they've got a bad away record. To me the result was never in doubt.

Good to see Matt Lench and Guy Hollis back. Both enjoyed good games. An easy 3 points, truth be told.

I expect Saturday to be a lot harder.

Didn't they lose at home to Fleetwood?

Can't see it being an easy game for Hereford at Dorchester, or for us for that matter. I'm sure they bully teams at home and their mouthy back 4 were haranguing the ref and linesmen all the time last night. Our discipline has to be applauded.

We were much the better side and we really should have won by 4 or 5 (how many times has that been the case this season?!).

Apologies I thought that was all away games including cup matches and I forgot the Fleetwood game. So me got it wrong. Hope Dorchester can do more at home than they did last night and picking up Bernie's point I note that in the Dorset Echo Steve Thompson was honest enough to say that Rebels should have won by 4/5/6 goals.

To be fair we've also won by some big margins this year
