Hereford Game

I genuinely don’t like them. Some of the comments on twitter are rude and from grown men with children! Who exactly do they think they are? Sorry you are non league just like the rest of us and trolling fans and managers and intimidating others I would like to see them up against a club who are just as bad as them and see how they like it when their little kids are there. We usually fall around laughing when Spencer Day talks about "small margins" but today I understood. If one of those late Hereford goals had been saved on the line what a different forum we would have tonight We would be celebrating a double over Hereford we would be the leagues highest scorers we would have ended a 50 game unbeaten away run and most importantly we would jointly with Hereford be the teams with the lowest points lost all season If just one goal hadn't gone in! And yet some talk as if our season is over ! We are still in a very strong position and have a number of six pointers with teams in the top group to play Only one of the six teams above Slough at kick off today won their game the other five all lost points so still all to play for Neil/Jon have some tweaking to do and they know it but I'm not joining the white flag wavers yet!!

The difference with Day is those 'small margins' he talks about are in his head only.

Irishadrian, what 'tweaking' do you deem necessary?

Where is this 10 men thing coming from, did I miss something. For me I didn't see any leadership on the pitch after that first goal went in but maybe I was looking elsewhere, but thought we were 'too nice' would have liked to see someone scream and shout on the pitch.

On a side note I would like to thank all the volunteers who worked tirelessly getting this game on.

Ade, you must have been having your tea and cakes when their number 8 was helped off the pitch.

Not sure any amount of screaming and shouting would stop an individual making errors.

Gashimoto :

Like every body else I am still gutted and disappointed with the end result.

Every game those around me always say Steve what's the score today I always say it.s Slough to win and today's performance deserved that and the three points but to get the result you deserve you have to play to the final whistle but slipped at the final hurdle.

But like you I am still positive confident and optimistic in the team going forward.

I suppose it's logistics health and safety in these big games but being the home side why do we give the opposition supporters St Joe's end where more noise is generated we know that's our favorite end and the team would of had the 12th man and benefited from it and could of got the third goal required.

COYREBELS

As you say it's probably logistics with the main AP car park being linked to Lynch Hill Academy car park.

It is a family game for them as they are all from one family - they don’t let new blood into Hereford and the genetic pool is getting very watered down.  Did you not notice there was a lack of hand gestures due to the webbing between their fingers?  I also struggled to understand their chants as most of it was in Welsh.

Most of the comments leading up to the game )they are a big club have more money and have a squad of 25.

Well you can only put 11 on the field and we gave them a run for there money.

What a superb cross and well taken goal by Ben by George!!!.

SD, your first point is fact and will obviously bring it's benefits over the course of a season and speaking about being positive we didn't just give them a run for their money we out played them.

Unfortunately these sort of mindless idiots don't care and probably wouldn't give a seconds thought about their own kids let alone others.

You are doing a good job of lowering you standards to those few idiots that follow Hereford, you sound a very bitter individual..... its a game of football.... not a matter of life and death. Did you come to E.S. ? we are a family club and we have the infrastructure in place to handle larger than average amount of support at this level..... I wont throw any insults your way, I grew up years ago (my wife is also from Reading) so I will let you continue throwing your toys out of your pram. As said previously, you were unlucky, we were very fortunate and I wish Slough all the best for the remainder of the season.

By the way , we are an English club in an English league.... and we are not racist, so allow people from any country to support our team (maybe you should encourage it at your club, hence increase your crowd/finances), Its a shame that you could not understand the chants....possibly because you were to busy cheering on your own team, or need your ears syringing.

Still raw to not win that one but these things tend to even put over a season. This was just the flip side to Merthyr. So far we have scored 7 late goals after 87 mins and conceded 6

Just 4 in each category have cost or gained points. We gained 2 at farnbourgh 1 against Stratford and 3 from Merthyr.

We lost 2 against Banbury Chesham and Hereford .

So we have gained 6 and lost 6 points to late goals .

Just need to steady the ship now and make sure those stats stay neutral .

The difference is with the other games (especially) the Merthyr game is we had loads of chances as Hereford didn't (the 2 goal's + 1 other)

(edit)  Take the Stratford game we had chance after chance then Innsy scored 90+2 minutes. How the 2 game played out were 2 different things

Sitting Bull [ Hereford fan]  We make allowances for Rebel1965,as he loves a wind-up but his last comment was over the top to say the least.

Not worth taking it down now he's said it though, as likely to cause even more friction here as he will go on and on about it, and then all us Slough fans have to suffer that !

One thing he isn't wrong about, though, is your club do have an unruly trouble element among your fans who aren't doing your club any great service. Unfortunately you get this more at the bigger supported clubs [especially in the professional game where your original club were] .

As we older folk know, most of these idiot troublemakers get geed up and egged on by their pack mentality and alcohol consumption and want to cause trouble when they are mob handed.

Perhaps your club could buy them a one way ticket to Russia for the World Cup.They can see how hard they are out there !

Hope you at least enjoyed the football match,Sitting Bull, I did up to the 93rd minute ! ha ha !

From my angle, the weather and the first referee didn't help it be the best of games but least it was enteraining and I'm still bamboozled to how it ended in a draw.

Honours even but I think you know who were the better team on the day.

You have failed to get your house in order and are the only club in this league who needs to have police at games - the other 23 teams in the league dont have a problem - you STILL do!

I did come up and see the way game and the police were up there in even bigger numbers - you have a bad and proven reputation - get your house in order.
