Hereford Game Segregated. Maybe Not?

Before anyone jumps down my neck and tells me ths is a forum I know, but don't you think we have given Hereford enough air time about some of their problem supporters. I'm hoping people won't get put off coming because of them I know as a mum I might think twice.

Lets get back to talking about our team who on their day can beat anybody !!

Agree, I just responded to a Hereford fan who came on here.

As this thread is about the segregation issue perhaps we need another thread.

Don't think so. Merthyr as previously stated was due to all fans being let out at the same time, with very few exits and a large crowd, some things are bound to happen. Didcot... think you will find that the problems was caused by one person from Hereford (?) and their players (three, yes three of their players were at court) The problem with teams in this league, they are not  generally  used to such a large away following... if Slough have any sense they will ask HFC to bring some of their stewards along to the game...O and we always have at least one local police officer to try and spot the one or two idiots that do follow the club and cause trouble. Please note that I said follow, and not support the club.

May the best team win....and everyone has an enjoyable day.

We don't need you to bring yours as ours are mainly from a higher league.

Question?

Why do you (that's Hereford fans) Keep saying your NEW Hereford club is nothing to do with the old club?  Then want to use the old clubs history to say you should be in a higher League. You can only be one or the other.

SD you do realise this is a football forum where supporters discuss not only there own team but also the opposition weaknesses and strengths.

Unless of course you live in a self contained bubble where no other team exists except your own.

Not including away games i travel a MINIMUM of 130 miles to put all my effort in supporting my team mid week and saturday.s .

Why should I waste my time in talking up and encouraging the opposition however good or bad they are.

We had trouble at Beaconsfield with a couple of mouthy types in a small Hereford crowd when we played them a couple of years back. Mainly because they did not understand not being segregated in non league! Stewards had to calm them down. I'm sure the vast majority coming tomorrow will be just like us , looking for a good time , nothing else . If there is any problem just move aside and let the professional stewards deal with it. The game will be far too interesting to worry about what's going on off the field.

SD, due respect for the travelling you do to follow your team but as far as I can see no one is talking up or encouraging the opposition.

Supporters talking about their opponents that they are about to face is normal pre-match talk whether it be on a forum or at the game itself.

Day after day after day it gets boring I bet the thousands of Hereford Supporters are not going on there site encouraging our team.

As a club, we encourage the family to come to E.S. and to be honest, have seen very little/ no trouble at home games myself since the club re formed. Not been to many away games this season (have the previous two), F.A. cup mainly, but always take the kids, 99.9% of the time we are fine. We do have one or two that think an away game is all about getting pissed up and not the football, but we also find that because we take a reasonable number of away supporters , the opposition (not saying that they support the team we are playing) turn up looking for trouble... by the way, this is not tin pot football/league, I and many others have enjoyed the last 2 1/2  years following our club, new grounds etc.... and again 99.9% of the time have had a great time. In fact , i think I enjoy the experience of football more at this level than when we played in the league.

Please do not tarnish all us Hereford fans as being the same , its a small minority that spoils it the vast majority.

I got thinking as to where the name "Shaggy Calf Lane" came from. North of the lane were cherry orchards streching up to Stoke Place. This is of course where the name of The Orchard School where Arbour Park is now came from. According to local history (or myth?) many many many years ago a headless shaggy calf was witnessed running up the lane. Hopefully no headless behaviour tomorrow!
