V Farnborough 26th December

Time to get back to our winning ways and Farnborough is as good a team to start with as any.They are well down the table and having an indifferent season We are one of our leagues high scoring teams and Farnborough leak goals like a sieve 55 so far These facts should give us some restored confidence Although the last few weeks have taught us that its possible to have a good performance and a poor result I think we just need one game when everything clicks to kickstart another winning run Why not tomorrow? Great win just what we needed. We did miss a few though but on this occasion it didn’t matter. Hopefully we can build confidence and a run from here.

Created the chances and should have been home and hosed by half time.

 

Second half we played some good stuff and once the second goal went in our confidence visibly grew and the result was never in doubt.

 

Another excellent and well deserved MOTM performance from George Wells.

Great to be back to winning ways and to put a few goals in. I don't think we were much better than our last two home league games but the difference was we took our chances. Great for Floody and Gav to get on the scoresheet.

Our confidence was back again in the second half..... possibly a little too much at times which lead to them having a few goal scoring opportunities.

 

Well done all, a great result, and much more like the quality of performances we have become used to this season.

Of course it didn't help them that they have had to travel hundreds of miles and we just had to pop round the corner for the last two games!

Great game. We totally controlled. Nice to see us converting chances. When we play with wide men we do much better.

deluded! to say small margins, officials cost us and that we could have won are ludicrous statements.

we were second best throughout. there was no spark or invention. terrible defending at set pieces and practically turned into a training game for Slough. the man blames anyone for another crap performance.

blames the fixtures for the slump, but known these expected journeys since August and could have prepared for them. it's not as if they've been a mystery.

 

it was a rout and quite frankly embarrassing

Just watched the clips of the our goals and what a pity that it freezes just as Webby is about to chip that superbly taken goal over the goalies head

Just listened to Day's interview, poor chap, but at least his voice might break next year.

 

Bangs on about how good we are at set pieces, isn't it his job to organise his team to defend them? We try that Flood one at least once a game!

He doesn't even remember the order of the goals. Claiming the second and third were from set pieces before the lucky cross for the 4th (which was actually the 3rd). I actually wonder sometimes if he's not just a caricature type character who has to blame everything else but himself.

Very good performance by the team today.

Thought webby played well 1st half on Sat and was superb in this game coming on as a sub and as I put in a post a month back would like him to add goals to his game.
