Sir Rebel1965
This usual Micky Mouse cup game has now turned into a very important game to kickstart our season back into motion. Normally the Bed and Breakfast cup is seen as one to give the periphery players a run out, but it is now needed to get the team back into winning ways and get ready for the important Christmas period where every point will count. Players need to get refocused on the league after the pleasant distraction of the FA cup, and remember that this season’s main objective was the push for promotion. This object is still very achievable, but will now need 100% focus and commitment and there are no easy games, every point and goal is vital, time for all players to be counted. maidenheadrebel
Sorry have to disagree that this game is important, my view is that it should be used to give as many players as possible a good amount of playing time and a good workout but unfortunately that should be enough to win it. This cup is nothing more than micky mouse, always has been and always will be. It won't need a win against Wantage to focus players minds. If we do keep the pressure up at top of the table we wont be looking forward to further rounds in this ahead of big league games!
GlenSTFC
With the squad size as it is the majority will play a part on Tuesday, my main concern is getting through without further injuries! We surely should have too much quality so should win handing us an away tie at Bracknell (who are in a similar position to Wantage in the table). Not sure how many more ties until the final but with this the only distraction now it might be beneficial to give game time to the players not in the match day squad, the unused subs plus any trialists we may want to look at. GlenSTFC
Although I’m fully expecting a win, the fact is we’re winless in our last 5 so a decent performance and big win would do our confidence no harm. Imagine if we lose and how that might affect the players and fans perceptions?
Reading Rebel
I think this game is important. Not for the competition but to get the FA cup out of our system and get back to winning ways.
HEAVY TRUCKER
we will be better off putting out the juniors a banana skin came if ever i saw one the only possible positive is will it count for smarts red card?
Reading Rebel
I think we've got to look a bit deeper than the fact that it's a B&B game. Excellent chance to give players like Harrison Gilkes, Brad Wadkins and Alan Inns a run out to get them somewhere closer to match fitness.

Nice one HT. Doesn't really matter about the game being a banana skin, the main points of the game are that certain players get some match fitness, we don't pick up any injuries and we put in a good performance to give our confidence a boost going into Saturday's big game. Injuries can happen at any time so I don't think we should get too paranoid on that front.

PaxtonLee
A shame Gilles had to come off so early. Precautionary? A bit wasteful in front of goal, could have been an absolute hatful, but good to see them keep the tempo up throughout. Looked like a good run out and blew away some cobwebs. Reading Rebel
A good run out against a plucky but out classed Wantage side. Could and probably should have been a lot more goals but we were a bit wasteful with our chances. Great shame about Gilkesy. He used his turn of pace to beat two players to the ball but unfortunately pulled up with what looked like a recurrence of his hamstring injury. With Gav James now out for a period of time it'll be interesting to see how Brad Wadkins fared after coming on and scoring last night.
Guest route104
Thought it was a good runout for the team, sure they would rather play a competitive game than train.a few positives came out of the game Manny looks back to match fitness winning that penalty was class Alan innes had a good workout and Brad Watkins was shaking off the rust. All in all a good result but should have been more.
