305 at Ilford

This was the attendance for Saturday's game according to the Echo. Now take off Ilford's 30 odd plus a few neutrals and it means probably 250 odd from Enfield.

 

I know the support is good, but that good?

Ilford's support comprised of 6 squad players were couldn't even make the bench!

The support IS that good. Why would Ilford declare an inflated attendence?

I remember thinking that the support was very good on Saturday. Enfield Town regularly get gates of 300+ and I assume the majority of people that attend games at Goldsdown Road were at Cricklefield Stadium. An excellent turn out. The Cauliflower lost a small fortune!

actually, we took a register, and there were a lot away!

But NWP was there with Wendy!

The fact is that we dont have as big a fan base as Enfield Town or come to that Romford....

But we do have a good 50 to 80 people come and watch us every other week.

So please...dont slag us off....

We are trying to go in the right direction on and off the pitch and unfortunately we do not have the history of the likes of Enfield Town (taking into account Enfield's history) and Romford but we are having a go.

It was not open, that was what was wrong with it. We had to go on a 10 mile hike to find another Pub.

Foxy, I must take you to task, Ilford has a fine History & was one of the best clubs outside the league in the country.

I know you're not the same club as that Ilford but you still carry the name & tradition.

I know that 90% of our support went to Southbury Rd; but that is gone. so time to move on.

If you look back to the last game of last season I think the gate was 470 so 305 for a midseason game is respectable.
