This seasons squad

Let me just work out who is still here and who has been and gone this season.

 

Goalkeepers - Clark (on work experiance), Jackman and Hanson. Gone - Wilmot, White, Gore, Abbey, Richards.

Defenders - Gledhill, Brown, Campbell, Jones, Seeby (mid as well), Thomas (mid as well), Cross and De Souza (striker as well). Gone - Naylor, Baldwin, Moran and Jay Murray (striker as well)

Midfield - Oakes, Wraight, Castle, Deacon, Oxby, Seeby (def as well), Thomas (def as well) and Smith (is he still here), Parsons. Gone - Graham, Perfect, Williams, Reynolds, Glynn, Toms

Strikers - Tomlinson, Cogger, Edwards and De Souza (def as well). Gone - Richards, Murray (def as well), Martin, McDonnell, Crawshaw

 

And I've bound to of forgotten a couple more of the youth players. That's a staggering 40 players!

Only 4 players who started on Saturday started on the first game.

Now we've used injurys as an excuse recently, looking at the squad am I right in thinking that one Smith is currently injured out of that mob?

So our current squad (including former youth players that probably weren't expecting too much 1st team footie this year Hanson, Seeby, Jones, Cross, Parsons and Cogger) is 20 players!

 

Not quite sure what I'm trying to prove here but it makes for interesting reading (maybe)

And don't forget your namesake! Seriously, this makes for very grim reading. As far as Smith is concerned, I heard that he had asked for his contract to be torn up as there was no way he was going to play until next season at the earliest. As an aside, Perfect came on to replace Vickers in a Daggers' Conference game the Saturday before last. Probably not good enough for us though.
