Neil Baker
As per the title... not going to lie, the weather has been a blessing in disguise for us, as 48 hours was not going to be long enough for one or two injuries wise. We can now put a plan in action for Saturday

Reading Rebel
Chalvey Sport's game at Arbour Park was also postponed. The reason was a frozen pitch. Must have been the low temperatures from last night because today was +3 or 4.
codpiece
Is this the first ever postponement at Arbour Park ?
Matt
Not saying this is the case, but sometimes in this day and age postponements happen because other areas around the ground are deemed unsafe for spectators, e.g. terracing, car park even if the pitch is fine. I thought the pitch at Arbour Park would cope with sub-zero temperatures, as we saw last season, but clearly not in all cases!
David Carpenter
I have clarified this in a previous post. The Tiger Sports manual indicates that the pitch should not be used below -5 deg C due to brittleness of the synthetic blades. Also care needs to be taken removing any snow covering in case of any frozen snow adhering to the blades. I guess these criteria may not have been in place today but having nearly gone a over t in a car park then overall safety would have almost certainly come into play as suggested above. Neil Baker
Was not frozen as such, but frozen snow which is still covering the pitch, and with that type of pitch you are nor meant to brush it etc.
