FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round - Hendon v Slough Town

Wasn’t there but monitoring every few minutes on Twitter. Absolutely galling to concede in what seems more or less the last kick? Surprised this game only attracted when there must have been 80-100 Slough fans? Really could have done with another league game postponed, very frustrating!

Not sure what to make of the game as we were not great, but neither we they.

I think we could claim to have had the upper hand as we hit the aluminium work about 3 times and had a couple of shots blocked, however, Turner need to make some good clearances too.

Gutted about their last seconds goal, but could not understand why we made the final substitution when defending a corner even though it was for a striker?

But still in the Trophy and still got a game on Tuesday so in someways nothing lost and nothing gained.

Funnily enough, i thought the same about the league game, however, with this replay (we had a game Tuesday regardless) and IMO, a "lesser" (compared to the importance of the league) game now on Tuesday, hopefully when we get around to Redditch, we'll jave a stronger squad of players and less injuries than we have now. So perhaps, although this gives us another game to reschedule, it might actually be no bad thing.

Anyone know if we asked Hendon if they would play this game to a conclusion? We would have got a result today and played the Tuesday league game but needs both teams to consent.

We asked the question, but Hendon wanted the chance of a replay and a possible bumper crowd at our place....

I’d guess the crowd will be 500-600 on Tuesday with probably not much support from Hendon if they can only muster 150 at home on a Saturday in what was an attractive fixture (maybe they were all at Wembley!). I presume then gate receipts are split equally? How did their striker Muir perform or more importantly how did our defence cope with him?

What do Hendon get out of a bumper crowd at AP?

Rebel 1965 I spent 3 hours on our UK Smart Roads getting from Swindon to Slough and still missed getting on the Coach then spent another 2 hrs getting home by another route.

What a waste of a day and petrol money part time supporter I am not.

That was missed the Coach and to late to see the Game.

Kept him reasonably quiet but what would we give to have him in our squad right now.

Whilst I was gutted they scored as I thought we had the better chances I think this may be ok for us as it means our important league game may set back until we have more strikers available.

Not sure where the ref got all the extra time from!

Was worth going especially as I got a rare chance to visit the bar twice as I wasn't driving ?
