v Hayes and Yeading (league cup)

The Hayes red card was proper Sunday league stuff. The player had already been booked and later in the match the ref told him to go over to the bench to get something sorted out. The player had whatever it was that needed to be done and just strolled back on the pitch without the refs consent who then duly showed him a second yellow and the red.

He had the wrong tape on his socks.

I not sure if i will bother with going to games any more as it looks like it is better to follow the twitter stream as it allows you to gain a better picture of what happened at the game and to speculate more wildly than actually being there in person.

As a court of law will accept wild speculation over fact this must be the way to go.

Thanks to all the fans who came out to support the lads last night, obviously we rested all our attacking players last night as we said, because that is where we currently have the least cover, with injuries to Manny, Gav, Brad and Warren, therefore was always going to be a tough night, however thought we kept the ball well, and it was a good fitness exercise.

Have to thank the lads that came in at late notice, with the exception of Wheeler who has only been playing local football to him, the other three have not played at all this season, with Tom Williams playing his first competitive game in 18 months, Tom Biss has not played since he last played for us, and Ready has not played for over two years with his last game being a pre season friendly for us on the 3G at Hayes and Yeading.

Anyway we can now concentrate on a massive game against Weymouth Saturday, and with a bit of luck we may have one or two back.

We will also need to keep an eye on the Banbury v Farnborough situation, as from past experience I would expect that game to be replayed, probably next week, which will knock our game out, and if so we will do our best to rearrange something.
