Just what party do you support?

Recommended Posts

Labour, Conservative, can't remember the others, or the ETFC Working Party?

We managed to have a full side out this morning with, I hasten to add, a substitute - 12 in all!

For those who know the ground, over 15 metres of earth, some 2 metres wide and over 30 cm deep was moved this morning from the compound. We did not have enough wheelbarrows but managed to get a lot done. Most of the bricks/hard core from behind the old stand has now been brought over to the compound so that concreting can commence.

Tuesday evening at 6.30pm is the next opportunity to assist Roy.

A great team performance - we need more people though to finish the job. Everything needs to be completeed by 31 March 2004 for ETFC to stand any chance of gaining a B grade for the ground.

Most people notice a new stand or two. Do they notice the concrete? Probably not! If you have the time to help on a Sunday, then please get down to the ground.

The working party will carry on with digging out next Saturday afternoon if our home game with Bowers is off because of the weather(let's hope it is not). Therefore, we are asking that you still give up your Saturday afternoon to assist, even if the game is off. We can guarantee a fresh supply of teas and coffees.

Couple of helpers who were there before me and who both did a fantastic job!

The last time an evening session started at 6.30pm and finished about 8.45pm

Just spoke to our trusty gaffer. Or should that be rusty as he has spent so much time in the rain?

If it is raining hard, then the work session will not go ahead.

A very significant land mark was reached this evening by a very few ETFC supporters. Reminds me of Churchill's speech about so much being being owed by so many to so few!

The compound 'trench' has now been dug out and is ready to be back filled with hard core and concrete.

The pitch was forked and a tremendous amount of water disappeared. Let's hope it does not rain before Saturday.

Remember - if the game against Bowers on Saturday is off, then work continues on the surrounding areas of the ground. We look forward to seeing you.
