Looks like after my morning game in Cheltenham (Where I both live and am chairman of a grassroots side), I now have to drive 180 mile round trip to "guarantee" a ticket. Could be a loettery if left to try and get on line.

100% fair to prioritise the real fans first ;)

Just kidding, i think giving the season ticket holders a mild priority is the right thing to do. Then gives everyome else a fair crack of the whip after this.

I would also imagine knowing the way the club operates, if a season ticket holder cant make tomorrow im sure they will be able to arrange something for them as long as they communicate it to the club before hand that they want a ticket.

I meant most of our devoted fans, i.e. most of the regulars, are probably season ticket holders, rather than the most devoted.

Just trying to point out that rewarding season ticket holders (as is done up and down the country, especially for big matches) is the right way to go to ensure that a decent proportion of our most regular fans get a ticket instead of putting them all online, for example, and letting anyone get hold of them.

Priority should be given to the 600-650 who turn up at every game not just ST holders who amount to less than half that figure. But fully appreciate that would be difficult and let’s be honest any ticket system would have it cons. I too am not a ST holder mainly because I knew I couldn’t go to every home game due to family/friends commitments and in a way I’m actually giving the club more money by paying per game!

Being facetious,.... while accepting that the club would naturally put their season ticket holders first, you could argue that that citeria puts the wealthy fiirst and the poor second, and as we know there's nothing new in that concept !

As Glen mentions some fans may end up paying more than a season ticket holder (if they come regularly) it is not about who is richer, it is rewarding the people that committed to the club at the start of the season, and for the floating fan it is impossible for the club to recognise exactly who that might be.

I know some people have bought a season ticket yet rarely come.

At no point at the start of the season can you know that you will have a cup run like we have had, and therefore no way of retrospectively looking back and saying if you came to such and such game you can get a ticket.

There will unfortunatley be people that fall between the crack, and that is always the case for games like this, and I am sure we will try our best to make sure the “true” supporter is catered for, however in instances like this when tickets are limited, it can be very tough.

One option you have to guarantee tickets still is by becoming a season ticket holder :-)

Alternatively if you are unlucky and don’t secure a ticket, you will always have the fall back to watch the game live on TV, something people in the past might not have had the option to do.

Look forward to seeing people for what is a massive game for us tomorrow.

Any idea if the vouchers issued to non season ticket holders will be numbered. In other words any point arriving early to get a low number voucher to get a ticket first after the game or is it a free for all at 5 pm

Unfortunately you are wrong again Glenn -  there are 350 season ticket holders so there are MORE ST holders than half.

I am a rebel fan of 50 years - and part of a 3 generation "fan dynasty" who all come when they can given that one is in his 80s, I'm a coach in another sport which takes out some Saturdays and my son has recently moved to London for work - we're all there when we can though. We were all coming tomorrow anyway irrespective of FA Cup tickets as it's a key league game and we wanted to be supporters and support. So I bought a season ticket at the beginning of the season knowing it didn't represent value for money for me but seeing it in some way as a contribution to the club I love.

Does that mean I'm a better fan than someone who "pays as they go" because that's how their cashflow works - of course not. Am I a worse fan because some people will not "know my face", also of course not.

Here's hoping everybody gets the chance to buy a ticket tomorrow and most importantly that we beat Weymouth.

Unfortunately for you I’m not going to trust your word Rebel1965 especially as you can’t even spell!!! If someone in an official capacity can confirm we have 350 ST holders then I’ll believe it. Anyway I’m guessed our chairman has already hand delivered your golden ticket being as your the number 1 fan right?

"I know your face" isn't really a sensible way of allocating tickets 3spirit... It's also nothing to do with the Trust how the Club allocates the tickets.

At previous matches the most common question I heard was "will they be prioritising season ticket holders?" and they have done this. Given that most of our most devoted fans will be season ticket holders (and as season ticket holders you'd think most will attend a given game) I think it's a fair priority system.

ARAAS, I said it is natural for the club to favour season ticket holders.

I have followed and supported the club for over thirty years now but I have only been a season ticket holder for one season and that was last season.

I have no qualms that the season ticket holders are priority.

I have always managed to get a ticket for every big Cup game since 1985,both at Wexham Park and at the groundshares, yet now I [ and many other loyal fans] have a chance of missing out because of a badly thought out way of allocation.

It's never easy to get these things right but this time around it seems rather ludicrous how we are doing it, in my opinion.

What are you talking about??

If there are 350 season ticket holders, and everyone of them attends tomorrow and takes up their allocation of 2 tickets that’s 700. Allocation to Rochdale is probably 15%, that’s 300.

That leaves an additional 1,000 tickets, so unless the attendance is greater than 1,500 (taking in to consideration Weymouth supporters won’t be wanting cup tickets), then you are absolutely guaranteed a ticket if you attend tomorrow.

That might have been a remote possibility if this ticket allocation method was announced earlier in the week, but at such short notice there will be many that won’t even hear about it or won’t be able to change plans they already have.

Well, to be honest Curtis, I wasn't only thinking of me.

I was thinking about those who will miss out due to the fact they can't make the Weymouth game.

Take for example, my brother he wanted a ticket but I cannot purchase one for him, or take my friend who is a fairly regular Slough fan but he has a ticket for West Brom v Chelsea tomorrow.
