Glen, if I could I would give you all the answers you want but everyday the plans the club have made have had to change and will most probably change again tomorrow. If we have to adhere to regulations then we have done so, when you arrive at Arbour Park tomorrow you will see just how much has had to be done. Trust me , there has been so much work gone into this game ,both planning and instigating, you would not believe. The hard work of many people, especially Steve, John and Kay should not be underestimated.

Well done to everyone involved with the club, a tremendous journey and one to be proud of.

 

The higher fitness level of a professional outfit told in the end. We weren't allowed a second on the ball and never really had the opportunity to play our natural game. Not for the want of trying and a top attitude as always.

Thought we put in a great shift. If anything showed them a little bit too much respect at the start. But there was a twenty minute spell either side of half time were we played our best football and creates a couple of great chances. If either of those go in, then the game plan has worked a treat and we've got a great chance.

 

As the game wore on I think the fact they are full time pros showed and they clinically finished the game off. Four nil was harsh on us.

 

Superb effort to reach this stage and it is a moment that we will all long remember.

It’s been a fantastic cup journey and everyone involved with the club has done us proud. A step too far tonight and the gap in League places showed. A little bit more luck and it could’ve been a different story. Let’s put this aside and get focused back on the league and climb that table.

Rochdale put in a thoughourly professional shift on the pitch and we put in a thoughourly professional show off it . Thought the stadium looked great full . Easier to get a beer than normal and all in all a great night to show off the club. Shame we did not get a goal, if Smarts effort had gone the other side of the post , 2-1 with 15 left would have asked some questions . Hey ho . Back to the league !

Well beaten although maybe 2-0 felt fairer than four. You often find out who your best players are in these high level matches and all I will say is that Lee Togwell was magnificent tonight.

Fantastic effort from the lads.

 

We had to go for it at 2-0 down and probably left ourselves a bit open and with two goals conceded in the 89th and 90th minute made it a bit of an unjust scoreline on the night.

 

A few if only's, Togs effort just before half time would have made it 1-1 and then Nathan Smarts effort off the bar and post and a couple more chances could have made it interesting but it wasn't to be.

 

A few players looked to have picked up knocks but hopefully nothing too serious.

 

Back to the serious stuff with two massive games coming up on Saturday and Monday.

Big thank you to all who made it such a fantastic night, fantastic atmosphere we could not have asked more of the players and managers.                           What it did show was the club could put on the big games and move to the next level    hopefully this season,lets hope we can keep some of the floating supporters and show what we are really like week in week out.
