The trouble with the season ticket holder rule is that some season ticket holders may have only attended this seaon and could be bandwagon jumpers.

While I accept the season ticket holder being favoured by the club, I don't agree why they can get two tickets and those other loyal Slough fans,who aren't season ticket holders can only get one, as they are already getting priority.

To be honest,Neil, you know I like to play devil's advocate sometimes and often I put across issues often that isn't solely about me but representing Slough fans as a whole.This point being one such subject.

To answer your question how I would have handlled this situation [which is irrelevant as I don't work for the club] I would have put the tickets on sale from noon today for everyone, with the proviso that you can only have two tickets maximum. I would have kept the season ticket holders two tickets for them to pick up after the game as they would be easier to issue. And those season ticket holders not attending the game can get them at a later date.

Any tickets not sold at the Weymouth game, I would have put on the first come first served basis either at another home game or when it is convenient for a paid club official/employee to issue them in the week.

Maximum 4 per person until sold out.

As Glen STFC has just said, anyone with an 'ounce of salt' recognises how hard it is to get it right with these ticket allocations, and how hard the people behind the scenes have to work with such a logistical nightmare.

I'm not a fool I appreciate all the effort,too.

My comments were just that we seemed to be overcomplicating things to how we did it against Mansfield . Hopefully today, though.that fretting will subside when it all runs like clockwork, ha ha !

.

I am afraid your way would leave an awful lot of people very unhappy ha ha.. worked brilliantly today with everyone who wanted a ticket who was at the game, got one.

Got my one ticket but missed Josh Jackman's goal to join the zig zagged queue !

Think the wet weather actually put a few off from joining the queue and attending the game,so that was a bonus  on the race to get a ticket.

I had to listen to the radio to hear the goal as I was in the tea room too lol!

The only downside I saw to the tickets on Saturday was that you didn't know how many were left so needed to miss most of the second half to ensure you'd grab one (the people at front where there from half time). Maybe something to learn if we carry on the dream to a home third round match :)

Does anyone know a pub that will be showing the match, haven't been to a Slough pub since I was a manager at the moon n spoon (alas over ten years ago!) so not sure who does what nowadays.  Wife and Mum want to watch it while I lose my voice at one of the ends.

Also, I have an idea... Now would it be a good idea to put some of the lyrics to chants (granted I know the words aren't hard to remember!) on the Facebook page so it'll be bloody loud on the night and they can feel more part of the atmosphere.

On a side note, thank you again to Adrian and Sue, my heros!!!

I will start the songs off:

SLOUGH TOWN, clap-clap-clap;

SLOUGH TOWN, clap-clap-clap;

SLOUGH TOWN, clap-clap-clap;

Note claps can be substituted for bang-bang-bang if you are able to beat the hell out of a metal panel.

ONLY 3 repeats of the line, some people are having trouble with this and it sounds $hit when they do more - keep it to a tight 3 lines and it is more effective.

A reminder to all that the next choir practice commences at 19:45 tomorrow evening in Oxfordshire when the full repertoire will be run through.

There will be a dress rehearsal on Saturday starting 15:00 in North London for those that can attend. Attendance is not compulsory but would be appreciated.

The wheatsheaf will have the game on, as If I can't get a ticket, I will make sure of that. You would have served me me in the Moon all those years ago, as I have been drinking in there, since the pub opened in 1996
