Gainsborough Trinity

14.32 and just seen the team, unfortunately cant be at the match. A surprising team selection to say the least given the performance of some last

week. Those that did play well must be wondering what they have to do to start in these big games. Not seen Gainsborough play, hope they don't

overrun our midfield. At 17.45 I want to be proved wrong. Just being open & honest!

Best set up for this particular game IMHO - seems to be working. 1-0 Rebels

Yes agree, it does seem to be working. Feels like a close game listening to the radio. Just wish I was there.

Working even better now 2-0

I think most fans would have been happy with a draw or a scraped 0-1 away win but never in a million years could we have expected a 0-6 win. Sounds like we mullered them and played them off the park.

Going by the dressing room scenes on Twitter, looks like it's going to be a humdinger of a night of celebration, for our lads.

Well deserved and chuffed for all concerned. What a brilliant result ! ! !..........Happy days are here again........ :D

First half, only one team were interested in playing football. Not many chances but we were playing them off the park. They were just interested in kicking us and hoofing.

Second half, absolutely destroyed them. Lench's second is a screamer. Some of the later goals looked soft from their keeper's perspective but just showed our relentless hunger. Could and should have been more. Great stuff.

Amazing result for the boys and the club as a whole. Unfortunately dur to work couldnt make the long trip, but following on Twitter at the Burnham v Bracknell game was incredible. George Short, Ryan Parsons, Adam Cornell and Jamie McClurg were gobsmacked with the updates shouted at them from us in the 2nd half LOL.

Looking forward to the highlights tomorrow and then the draw on Monday :)

Well done to all the boys, the management and the fans that made the trip cant wait for the next round now.

What a performance from Slough Town.  All of your players were better than ours and you thoroughly deserved the 6-0 scoreline - it could have been worse.  You are an exciting attacking side and made us look like the Dog and Duck, who would probably have beaten us as well today!  Matthew Lench is some player - why isn't he playing in the football league?

Hope you get a great draw in the second round and earn promotion.  I am sure that you would do very well in National League North.

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope you have a safe journey home.

As for Trinity, not sure where we go from here.  We had been turning the season around in the past few weeks, but we were embarrassing today.  Those floating home supporters who made up the 1600 gate wont be coming back anytime soon.

Thanks for the kind words - hope you're league turnaround continues. Obviously we'd prefer the National League South  :D but thanks for the compliment.
