v Tiverton Town

Yes, it's great to be in the hat for the first round of the FA Cup but IMO Tuesday's league game against Tiverton is a much higher priority for us.

We'll have to come down to earth very quickly as Tivvy will be fresh after not having played for over a week.

They are 8th in the table with Levi Landricombe their top scorer with 7 outfield goals.

I think rotation for some of the tired legs is a must for this game.

My predicted line up;

Turner

Jackman Hollis inns wells

Fraser

Dunn Webb

Lench

Wadkins james

Bench;

Smart

Nisbet

Harris

Dobson

Flood

Not sure if Dunn is 100% ready to start a game yet? Also Brad Wadkins was still getting some discomfort from his knee, so not sure if he will be fit enough to start and play a good part of the game?

Surely if rotation was fully in place there should have been a lot fewer tired legs out there this Saturday!

Only 4 of our players have played in less than 10 games this season, one of the four being Harrison Gilkes.

Jackman - 9

Smart - 8

Inns - 6

Gilkes - 1

Has Josh Jackman ever played right mid-field for us?

I don't know but he has got forward on the odd occasion and got a shot away. His build and speed/ mobilty would suggest he is perfectly capable of playing there.

I would like to see what he would offer there plus it's a good time to rest Wazza and Lenchy and maybe just give them a sub appearance but I never seem to get the team right, so I don't for a minute think it will happen.

Obviously it's a very important game, not sure it's the right time to start experimenting.

Hardly experimenting with a change of position for one player ! Full backs play as wing backs so what's the difference?

Playing full back and charging forward at times is different to starting and playing as a wide midfielder.

What I was trying to say is why play a full back as a wide midfielder when we have at least 2 players who are wide midfielders for such an important game?

Bump

Let's get this back to top of the board.

This should be our focus focus focus.

While physically demanding , think it's good we have these midweek games to keep our minds off the future games.

Personally I'd be climbing the walls if we weren't playing tonight. Just lovin it at the moment!

Good first half, second half we just stopped playing our natural game and it was a pretty turgid affair. I get the oppo weren't great and we never looked in any real danger but it wasn't great to watch. And whatever that 'mess' was around the free kick at the end was an embarrassment and something you expect from a team losing every game not one winning week in week out at the moment. Very disappointing to witness and to me takes some shine off the victory. Anyway we move on and hopefully weve conserved some energy for Saturday.
