I’m very surprised Maidenhead ‘only’ got 700 odd especially as H&W would have brought around 150? I think a Home draw (although we’ve had 3 out of 4 at home so the odds are it’ll be away) is the first hope, if away please one of the big boys!

Very poor attendance from Maidenhead, bunch of stuck up glory hunters

It's always a great buzz to get to the 1st round proper . We seem to manage it about every 5-10 years.

So Congratulations to ( and really pleased for ) Jon and Neil for their best FA CUP run . It could not happen to two more decent people.

As a supporter you want to,win and want the best for your club but at this level more than that I want to be PROUD of my team and its representatives. I listen to their interviews , have occasionally spoken to them and read their posts . They are always polite , engaging, enthusiatic and respectful of everyone from fans to opponents. And our team reflects their ethos. It's a good time to be a Slough fan at the moment. But even more so , a proud time !

I'm really not sure if I want a home or away draw.

Yes a home draw does sound nice if it's a big league club like Portsmouth, Blackburn, Wigan etc but with a less than 2,000 capacity at AP would the more sensible option, if we want to get the big money, be to play away to one of these caliber of clubs.

Possibly but don't forget we are not much of a draw for them! Remember Mansfield ? Barely 1600 at their place , we almost beat it at Holaways on a Tuesday night replay.

Also with the barriers now in place we can have 750 at each end plus 500 seats . That's 2000 without anyone standing pitchside

Stan, I see your point but don't forget that Mansfield were only a Conference National side, teams like Portsmouth, Blackburn etc may not get the same support if we played them as what they would get in a league game but it will still be a hell of a lot more than 2,000.

BTW don't forget as it stands the max capacity at AP is 1,900 ish.

Blackburn Rovers at home would be a good draw, obviously not the same team now but it'd still draw media attention if former premier league champions were travelling to one of the lowest ranked teams left in the comp.

Just a thought is the 1st round still regionalised? if so Blackburn, Wigan etc would not be an option.
