As I said ...with my predicition ...that it was important that Slough stopped the rot ! and not to loose was important yesterday ...acheived...and in fact the difference between last Tuesday and yesterday were chalk and Cheese ! we played with spirt and the supporters behind the goal kept on giving good support...and I am sure this helped and how gratifying it was to get a deserved equaliser...

 

It was sweet....!!!

 

Looking at the league table ....its building up to a 2 horse race with Lewes and Windsor , but the other 4 places anyones guess really...

 

lots of games to be played....and the Rebels are in there with a chance ... don't give up your supporters....

 

I know we need to string some good results together and get a bit of luck too...but we are not out of it yet !

Agreed Chris. The fans were more supportive as the team actually seemed to be playing like it cared.

 

Top six finish is a must though whether this restructure goes ahead or not.

I just don't know why Bartley came on, I'm so much more comfortable with Adrian Browne.

Not after the way Adrian was playing yesterday, even if he was out of position, he had a stinker.

 

We need an out and out right back in the squad.

Comparing Browne's performance yesterday to Bartley's on Tuesday, Browne looked 10 times better, and was playing out of position.

 

Browne was at partially fault for the goal, but he created some good crosses and long balls, much better than Bartley can ever dream about doing.

Only problem with Browne as a full back was his lack of pace. Unfortunately for Adie yesterday his head went down after their goal and had a bad game from that point.

I understand that Smurph, is a versatile player who can play across the back four. So when Danish is back he could presumably play right back. However, I am not sure that would resolve the pace problem. But worth a shot as I believe we looked more solid (just) with a four at the back and the midfield contributed more.

 

The signature has changed for the benefit of Radders. It will only stay if the great one does come back and perform as expected....
