Todays game

A better team performance, that should have won the game.

Unfortunately poor refing and Adrian Brownes inability to pass to another Slough player contributed to only a draw.

Javis was a discrass to his side and how the ref faild to notice his goading of the home support amazes me.

Very nice to see Boot score and shut Javis up - he went quiet after that - I wonder why - but I still doubt if he knows who his father is!!!!

Should have been a win at home - cant keep droping points at home.

The first forty minutes we were very good. We played nice football and dominated. Unfortunately they came back into the half and got an undeserved goal in first half injury time.

Second half was a different story, we were largely on the back foot and Hampton should probably have added to their lead.

Boot scored with an excellent finish for in my opinion a deserved draw. I actually thought we would have time to press for a win but there was very little injury time. No surprise given that the ref had a shocker. Surprise, surprise.

Need to build on that, COME ON YOU REBELS.

4-4-2 ABOUT TIME!!!!!!!!!

Thought we would struggle today, but we played well and I thought a draw was deserved.

Dominated the first-half with some decent football, using the wings. Both Steer and Harris looked much more comfortable as wingers.

Hampton came into it late in the first and took the lead and looked quite dangerous second.

We battled well though and deserved the point to shut up that plank Jarvis - what's his problem. Not useto playing in front of two sets of fans or something. What have we done to him. Must still be bitter as he never made the grade when he was at Slough.

What a plank...

Indeed it was good to see us 4-4-2. Barras was excellent at left back (he always is when he plays there). Just a shame it has taken us so long to use this formation given that I and several others have been banging on for months about it.

Now all we need is a decent right back.

Foster 6/10 good saves but still wobberly

Murphy 7/10 quiet game

Daley 8/10 solid

Barrass 9/10 Good to see him back

Browne 3/10 Cr*p - should not be on the field

Wilko 8/10 hard working

Willims 6/10 still not sure why we had him back

Harris 8/10 not enough service from Browne to let him perform.

Steer 8/10 better in the mid field so he can get up to the line and cross.

Miller 8/10 fought hard against w*nk*rs like jarvis

Hodges 8/10 getting up well for the ball unlucky not to finish some of the crosses in the 1st half.

Bartley 4/10 Sh$te for sh$te

Boot 9/10 excelent finish - up yours javis

It highlighted to me why we've been playing 3-5-2 as we don't have a recognised right back at the club. Thought we looked a lot more stable playing with this system today though, just disappointed that Browne had a mare right back as essentially it cost us the win.

Would rather have Danish alongside Daly insead of Smurph. Can he play right back though?

Jarvis really is a pillock, as is the black bloke who was on the bench with Devonshire, and both of them were trying to pick fights after the final whistle with Slough fans. Well done to Blakey and (although I hate to say it) Devonshire, for trying to calm the idiots down.

No idea what the last bit of your message is on about Liam, but never mind. I am impressed that yourself, Chris and Martin all now have slogans relating to the brilliance that is Spencer. I think we should start a campaign to get everyone's slogan changed to refer (IN A NICE WAY!) to Ryan. Please join us fellow Slough fans. Martin, remember you promised to change a little bit of your message!!!!!

Played well first half, didn't deserve to be one down at the break:

Played crap second half, didn't deserve to be one up that half!

Fair Result

Browne played reasonably well in the first half, better than that idiot Bartley, but he was at fault for the goal and his confidence did seem to drop after half time.

Foster was yet again dreadful, Williams and Wilkinson did little to get noticed and Matt Miller was awful yet again.

I think the back 4 looked quite strong, but i would like to see a right back added as Brownes best games have been in the middle. I feel more confident playing 4-4-2, another man at the back to cover Fosters mess up's ( And boy, there were some today!)

It's contentious as to whether it was a fair result. The team did play miles better and did work hard but boy did Hampton have chances to score. They could have scored 4 or 5. We left it very very late again but you've got to be pleased with the result against a very capable outfit.

I'm sure we all have players where we prefer to look for either the positives or the negatives depending on personal preference. I'm a bit like that with Spence because I don't think his workrate is good enough (abuse expected!).

However, even someone with a bit of a negative attitude towards Foster surely cannot find enough in yesterday's game to describe him as "dreadful"? On the plus side he made several good saves in the first half although I cannot recall him doing anything wrong. Why was he dreadful?

I think Foster's generally a good keeper, but I could pick out a couple of occasions where he was a bit 'dodgy' yesterday - mostly arising from the fact that he either didn't come off his line to collect, or came off his line too early. He did make several crucial saves though.

It's something to do with the water in Ascot, BUT, yesterday it appears he is not speaking enough with the three/four in front of him providing them with direction. That's one of the primary jobs of a keeper. It's quite clear that Foster and Murphy don't see eye to eye given that they've had a few bust ups on the pitch in recent matches usually resulting in what appears to be a confusion of who is coming to get the ball.

Yes he flapped at a cross yesterday, but his distribution was better, made some good saves first half (One of which I thought was a superb tip over) and generally had an average game. One of those could do better games.

Having said that, there are those who clearly won't like him and he gets the blame for everything he does wrong however slight.

Bit like you and Deaner then Gary.........

Murphy and Foster dont see eye to eye because Murphy is having to cover Foster. Yesterday there were two occasions from one piece of play in the first half that Foster came to commit himself and then turned around without a call, Thats why Murphy was shouting at him. Fair play Murph.
