Yes, good run out for the players that haven't played much recently.

Two excellent goals from Lenchy and Smarty.

And the novelty of actually winning a penalty shoot-out, must be the first for a very long time.

......and there's me thinking we were going to win comfortably and so going home when we were winning 2-0 !

No ones mentioned how good Nathan Smart's shooting was. I didn't realise he had such a powerful shot.

He had two long range shots, both on target. One made the keeper make a good save and the other was a superb goal.

Now it might have been a fluke but if it isn't, I suggests he takes a few more shots when he gets a chance.

His shooting had a lot of power in it and reminded me of Gary Donnellan the ex Yeovil and Enfield Conference player, who played for Slough for a while. He had a cracking shot.

Being able to shoot with such potency is a very useful asset to have for any team.

Thought Matt Lench and Nathan Smart were our best players on the night

For the 80 minutes I saw, Slough were the better team,so a win on penalties was justified in my book, although it did seem like a training game run out for players, at times.

Harrison Gilkes had a useful run out. He seemed determined to impress the managers and fans,if anything he tried to be too clever by taking on too many players but there was enough from him to see he will be a great player for us when he gets back to full fitness. Think he will need to be a bit patient in this regard, though.

I think the fan that you refer to Stan will be most grateful that you chose not to publically name and shame him on this forum!!!

I'll bank that then for the next time in case I mix- up Donald Duck with Micky Mouse !

Bring on the Wantage !!
