FA Cup 4th qualifying round draw

Agree, I'm sure the managers will be disappointed that we have to travel a long way on Tuesday and Folkestone get an extra training seession( and a chance to watch us,) But it would push the MT game further into the autumn/ winter. October is a pretty jammed month and we will need the whole squad to pitch in. All about the selections for me. All the players ( apart from Gilkes) have had a reasonable number of outings so whatever personnel we put on the pitch in whatever formation they should know their job.

Also, winning is a great energy drink !

Invictas social media saying they will be bringing a second supporters coach to Arbour Park.

One players coach and one supporters coach.

"We are pleased to announce that Folkestone Iinvicta Football Club is now running a separate supporters coach to our Fourth Qualifying Round Emirates FA Cup tie at Slough Town on Saturday, October 14th."

May be worth reminding the Southern League that they offered the same thing to clubs last year in the FA Cup. I know we at Chesham were offered it last year (we declined as we were playing Potters Bar in the League Cup and both sides were playing reserve sides anyway) after complaining that it wasn't offered the year before when we played Enfield in the 4Q

SRJ the team coach always brings supporters as well so supporters will be travelling on both coaches just to clarify

This is the full post.

"We are pleased to announce that Folkestone Iinvicta Football Club is now running a separate supporters coach to our Fourth Qualifying Round Emirates FA Cup tie at Slough Town on Saturday, October 14th.

The cost is £15 a head and, with the team now travelling earlier, the supporters coach will leave Bar Invicta at the later time of 11.30am.

Please contact JOHN LAW on 07957 688 435

John said: "I've had a good number of bookings already, but now with the separate coach we have plenty of room, but please contact me as soon as you are able"

to me that clearly suggests its two separate coaches with the team on one (leaving at a different time) and the supporters on another.

None of the Conference sides (Premier, North or South) are scheduled to play midweek, and not just us, but Kettering and Hereford also have away midweek fixtures.

If common sense prevails then all sides in the 4th Qualifying round should be offered the option not to play midweek leading up to these big cup matches..... nothing will be a bigger or better promotion of the quality and standard of the Southern League (not only of the Clubs but also those people running the league) than having one or more clubs from their league in the 1st Round of the FA Cup.

SRJ Events move quickly There are now 2 posts on the Invicta forum re travel to Slough The

one you have quoted was posted several hours after my post earlier Yes it seems they have now ordered. a larger coach for supporters the important thing is that they are bringing some support and probably some who will travel by their own cars

Does seem strange why the Southern League offered it last season but not this season.

Common sense just doesn't prevail with the old farts of the SL.

Met Police 3 Folkestone Invicta 1

Seems they had the referee from hell yesterday, aiming to book anyone & everyone in a Folkes shirt - consequence being their capt is now suspended for the Slough game

9 match winning run has now been followed by 2 consecutive away defeats, with their squad looking threadbare

Let's make it 3 away defeats  ;)

Folkestone Invicta fan here in peace.

Generally we have one of the larger away followings from the Isthmian Premier (Dulwich & Bi££€ricay are a magnitude more than  everyone else though). There's usually a mix of supporters coach, rail (plenty work for the railways, so cheap travel), and of course own transport.

Generally for same-county games (Kent is BIG!) we take ~100 or so. Further away half that. Mind you, as this is a "special", it's anyone's guess.

Whatever, there's a group amongst that (the "Noyz Boyz" - awful moniker) who always make a racket, so hopefully they will add to the atmosphere, especially of well oiled. Has your club house got a good beer selection? ;)

Hi Invicta ooop narth,

I see from your forum you've so far managed to fill 41 seats on a 53 seater coach. As you say with trains, cars etc hopefully your support will be somewhere around the 100 mark.

With the rewards on offer this really is a big game for both teams so hopefully there will be good atmosphere and a cracking game to watch.

Have a safe journey to Arbour Park.

Invicta oop narth: You best bet is to go the Moon and Spoon (Wetherspons) in the town centre. It is five minutes walk from the train

station and 15 minutes from the ground. The bar at the ground only sells one real ale at £ 3.50 a pint.Strongbow is £ 4.00 a pint.

Also, you have to queue at the bar.

That is one real ale if they can be bothered to get it in
