Poole at Home FA Cup 30th September

We all see things differently, at half time I spoke to Reading Rebel,who thought Slough had been lacklustre first half, whereas I thought we had started nervy and tentative for the first ten minutes but had done reasonably well for the rest of the half and were very unlucky to be 1-0 down.

Though, Warren Bentley did make mugs out of Nathan Smart, Mark Nisbet and Josh Jackman for Poole's opener. They all seemed to slip and miss the livewire striker. I was impressed by Bentley.You can see why he banged the goals in for Winchester City.

Thankfully, Slough as a team defended well second half, although the Jack Turner punch was a cock up we got away with.

 

Second half I still thought we were by far the most creative team on the pitch but I did think we didn't quite build up the head of steam needed to steam roller Poole.

A deserved win but I thought we played better against Dulwich in the previous round.

I have watched the video and in some respects my timing is a bit off....very tight game until they scored (Just 2 chances each in 30 minute spell). Following this it opened up a bit but at half time I was still wondering if the 2nd half would go back to the tight first 30..........

Thought it odd when I saw some of the players' tweets mentioning they didn't think we were at our best. I came away from the game thinking first half we were decent enough and unlucky to go in a goal down, and second half absolutely tremendous. Certainly only one team who was going to go on and win it when level. At least it shows the players set themselves the highest standards.

It's a north/south divide (but where the line is drawn is anyone's guess) so we wouldn't get Tranmere but there are plenty of huge clubs we could draw!

 

 

Looking at previous draws it seems the divide is something like North and South of Birmingham.
