Swifty
A functional win against an Aylesbury side who were game but didn't have much in the locker, improving when the Haule brothers came on. We got a crucial early goal when Beads was fed the ball on the edge of the box, took it along the line then powered a low shot into the near corner in the 7th minute. We doubled the lead when a low 27th minute corner was hit high into the far corner of the net, I thought by Romario but our Twitter feed gives it as an own goal. After that the result was never really in doubt, though Tyler had to come to the edge of his box a number of times to mop up and our defenders avoided any dramas. Despite decent possession in and around The Moles' box we only tested Aylesbury's keeper once, which was once more than they stretched Tyler. Very much a third gear performance after the break to conserve energy and avoid injuries before next week's big Cup tie, which was understandable. Gibbo
Another win and another goal for Jack , 2-0 was about right in the end as after half time we took our foot of the gas and coasted home. Good to see yaya get a start and play well in the middle of midfield. It'll be interesting who Ben picks for next weeks cup tie as the boys are in good form at the moment. Swifty
I also thought Jabir put in a fine, menacing shift as sub.
Gibbo
Yeah he was good also , like to see him get a start along with Jamal and the young lad from Staines so we can see what they have to offer.
