Ilford last night.

He made his debut alongside Wayne Grant last night in a 7-1 friendly win. Dave got three goals and Wayne two !

The unfortunate thing is that he cannot play tomorrow as his registration wont be through on time.

I didn't attend the game but both players apparently gave very good accounts of themselves.

Well last week against London APSA our game was called off and it hadn't even rained for a couple of days.

So after yesterday's rain and the expected rain tomorrow I would say thers a very good chance it'll be off.

Shame really.......We are really looking forward to it..

You mean you want it to be off,Foxy......So that Clarke will be suspended for when it is re-arranged,and that Allen will be available also.

 

I hope Ilford officials won't be influencing the ref,regarding a pitch inspection.

 

I've looked at the weather forecast for today and tomorrow,and it looks like it will be mainly dry.

 

 

Regarding Allen....I'm not sure of the full circumstances regarding his departure,but i think he may have clashed with Chandler over a 'commitment to the club' issue,in the same way that Clarkey did originally....I don't think ETFC were happy about him turning out for Fash FC,or about not asking permission to do so.

 

In Dave Allen,you have got yourself an attacking wing-back with exceptional pace...Attitude wise,very much in the Clarkey mode...Also expect him to go on trial with various Ryman clubs in the close-season.

 

 

It seems to me that where as school kids are punished by being suspended,Town players are punished by being exiled to Ilford. <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I dont honestly know why Dave left ETFC.....probably for the reasons you said LS....but we are very happy to have him....

Re the pitch.....

Just heard theres an excellent chance it will be on as long as it doesn't rain beforehand...
