Dunstable at home 9th September

I think we are in the very fortunate position of being able to start with two very strong but different line ups tomorrow and on Tuesday..... the managers have so many different options available to them I won't even hazard a guess and who will be the starting 11.

My team for tomorrow:

             Turner

Fraser  Hollis Nisbet  Wells

     Dunn Webb Lench

             Williams

        Flood  Wadkins

                     Turner

Jackman  Hollis  Nisbet  Dobson

Harris    Togwell   Webb   Wells

             Flood      James

Subs: Fraser,Dunn, Lench, Williams, Wadkins.

Second half I would swap Dobson back to left wing and Wells back to his accustomed position of left back.

I want to see what Wells is like going forward and know Dobbo can fill in as a left back on the odd occasion.

I see Dunstable as beatable and so think whatever team we put out should do a good job on them.

Every team are beatable but IMO one thing you can't do is start taking too many liberties and start experimenting.

Although Dobbo can play at left back if we were desperate I would definitely not play him there just to see if George Wells can play as an attacking winger.

Also to leave both Lenchy and Dunny out would not only affect our creativity but our scoring capabilities from midfield would almost be totally wiped out.

Well, that was fun!

Let's take a moment too to reflect upon that glorious open goal miss by Dunstable. Clever dummy

to dump Turner on the floor then with the whole goal to aim at...sidefoots it wide.

Easy to give the scorers the credit today but the whole team were hungry and relentless. Wazza put in a great shift, Webb pulled the strings, Dunny up and down, Wells tireless on the left. Important save at 0-0 by Turner. Gav James must be gutted he didn't get to stay on to get on the scoresheet but thought he was lively. Very much a team effort.

Interesting to see if Wadkins starts on Tuesday. Doubt it but at the same time nice to let players keep their moment going.

Thought Wadkins was excellent in first half and deserved his hat trick . We should have been a couple up at half time and it was a sucker punch goal to conceed. But all came good in second half and Dobbos delivery for several of the goals was top drawer. That's 5 league wins on the bounce , that's a proper run. Will be tougher on Tuesday but we are in good shape.

Wonderful fun today. Other than the 8 goals, the number 5 was a treat, the keeper (who didn't do much wrong) was still a football league loan keeper who conceded 8 and then there was the fantastic open goal miss by the 16 which is probably the poorest thing I have ever witnessed on a football pitch - and that includes Michael perrineau-Daley!!!

Only concern for me were a number of moments that I watched one of our most important players seemingly not enjoying his football today (those I was stood around know who and what I'm referring to but I won't mention names or specifics on here). Whatever was the issue I hope it's something that will resolve itself as he is vital to our chances this season in mine and the majority of other supporters opinions.

COYR!!!

Firstly can we have a video of 16s miss. Amazing.

7-1 flattered them today, if the terrible ref had a clue we would have had 2 pens possibly 3 and they'd have played with ten players for 60 mins. We were ruthless. Done great goals, but Dobson mom for me. Some of his crossing was sublime and yet again proved for me that he is our most creative player.
