Tom S
One thing's for sure: last year's result will have no bearing, given the almost 100% change in our line-up. I just hope the weather's a little better this year.

53 seasons
Hoping we can do better than last year's performance. We started brightly but lost our shape and rhythm after their penalty. Still cannot work out how Tyler managed to scoop the ball over their cross bar from the goal line but the ball came to him at speed to be fair. Also their keeper had a great game but he was on the wrong end of an ETFC win last Saturday, playing for Harrow I believe. COYT
littlehampton
Bit disappointing not to get another home tie, but the draw could have been a lot worse. Bit of a coincidence to be drawn away to Hanwell two seasons on the trot, but the 1-0 penalty defeat there 12 months ago is now history, and as Tom S rightly points out that result will mean nothing to our new squad of players. While we were beating Harrow Borough on Saturday, Hanwell were beating Brightlingsea Regent at home 4-1. Bit of a surprise scoreline, but if you look at some of the video clips on the Hanwell website, you will see that there was some pretty poor defending by the Essex lads. Be interesting to hear how they explain it on Saturday. So, apart from beating Brightlingsea, how are Hanwell doing this season? Well, if you look at the Evo-stik Southern League East, you would have to say not very well. After their opening four league matches they are bottom of the table, having lost both home matches, 0-1 to Epsom and 0-2 to Uxbridge, and both away matches, 2-0 to Rushden & Diamonds and 5-1 to Hartley Witney. They have scored one league goal and conceded ten (-9 goal difference). On Saturday they play Aylesbury United away, before facing us the following weekend. As we know all to well, league and cup games are totally different, but Andy Leese has plenty of knowledge and experience of the Evo-stik Southern League, and will ensure our guys are fully prepared and up for this one.
