v Berkhamsted

That's really not on to up adults entry by 50%. They'd already get around three times their normal average so would already be quids in, this is pure greed.

Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the prices of admission subject to the following conditions.

Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children and senior citizens) to matches shall be:

 In the Extra-Preliminary, Preliminary and First Round Qualifying: £3.00

 In the Second and Third Rounds Qualifying: £5.00

 In the Fourth Round Qualifying: £6.00

A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if agreed by both Clubs.

The price of admission for children and senior citizens must be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned

from the FA cup rule book.

We should keep it as per league as they should have done, quite simple.

Sorry but I don't agree..... I think an average of the two Clubs normal prices is about right, if also kept the same for any replay.

So, if we do get a home cup match in a later round against someone two levels higher like Aldershot, I don't think it would be unreasonable to charge admission of £14.

If you look at the two previous years we have played away to Cambridge in the 2nd qualifying round (205 attendance) and Dorking in the first qualifying round (184 attendance). So we clearly do not travel in HUGE numbers to early FA Cup matches.

As a rough guess we probably took around 60 fans to those games so assuming we take the same number to Berkhamsted this weekend they won't make a huge profit even with increased ticket prices.

The following will have the assumption everyone paid adult prices (I know they didn't but for argument sake pretend they did)

On Tuesday they had a gate of 120 paying £6 = £720

This weekend they might get the same 120 + 60 from us paying £9 but they only receive £4.5 due to the split = £810

So increase of price but only £90 extra which they will probably lose due to the expenses they will have to pay.

All in all they won't make much of a profit, if any, compared to a normal league fixture at their usual rates

p.s. the average of our two clubs entry fee would be £8.50 so not a huge difference!!!

Any money left over to spilt is after ALL expenses are taken out first

Let's just get a couple of hundred there (it's only about 30 minutes from the centre of Slough), create an atmosphere that makes it feel like a home match, get a win and progress to next round.

The one thing Spencer Day said that I did agree with is that we do have a great following, and that must help the players.

Full squad available, and the next fixture after this is not for another week...... so will be interesting to see if we start with our strongest 11, or if Bakes and Unders have spotted any weaknesses in the Berkhamsted side that they will pick a side to take advantage of.

In my opinion, this type of early round cup fixture is the reason why we have pre-season fixtures away to the likes of Windsor and Uxbridge...... hopefully we see a similar outcome.
